If you feel like a bit of a offroad adventure then this quick but pleasant outing is worth the drive, entrance fee and mini hike of about 15 minutes max. Absolutely stunning waterfall with clear water. You cant swim here as it is a water supply but that doesnt take away from the appeal at all.
Beautiful place! We were completely alone over there. The leading road was bumpy and long, but the walking route was comfortable and had amazing points of view.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Well, if you want to experience a hidden gem, then you need to go and see for yourself. This waterfall is often not visited due to the fact many people stay on the main route to the Cango Caves. Turn off on the Oude Muragie road and you will see what lies hidden in the mountains. For us, it was just amazing to feel the fresh cool water dropping from above.
A 10km drive off the main road and some gravel road to cover was worth it for views at the destination. An entry fee, and a 300m easy hike to the waterfall made this very accessible. It was quiet when we were there, and seemed safe. Be sure to keep the windows closed as you ascend after passing the gates, as there are swarms of locusts on the way
A serendipitous marvel in the otherwise dry Oudshoorn region. It is so unexpected, well maintained and unique that I am amazed that it is so unknown. Having seen truely amazing things in our tour through the Klein Karoo, I would still call this the highlight. Pack a picnic basket, swimming clothes and your camera....
