Elegant restaurant. Food: Big portions with that India heat . Before serving,you will be ask what level of heat you want;from nothing,middle to high. But that hot chocolate samosa with ice cream dessert was something else. I wouldn’t mind coming back for just that dessert. Price: Reasonable. For all those in the picture including the drinks and dessert, we paid 82,71bgn which is about 42€ Service: Fast. And staff were friendly. One thing though,since it’s summer and hot and India food is usually spicily hot,turning on ac or fan would be an advantage to your service. Also,it will be nice if you can offer a bigger bottle water in place of the short soda. Thanks.
Very nice place with traditional and delicious Indian food which I’ve tried for the 1st time and I’m really impressed. The service was very fast and the waitress were very polite. I strongly recommend it.
This is a very authentic Indian restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised eating here. Absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to come again. Loved everything!
The best place to eat Indian food in Sofia . The suprise in desert was awesome. The Panacota with basen laddu in base. It was great. Chef Prakash was great took time forward to talk to all guest and to make sure everything was fine. Thank you chef. 100% recommended this place.
Wonderful restaurant. They cook fresh and serve quickly. Meals and desserts are very tasty. Having visited all Indian restaurants in Sofia, I find this the best one. Service is friendly and interested. Good at recommending dishes. Outdoor seating could be made a bit more comfortable but is still decent. The dessert was served with a decorative fake aluminum foil which was edible. Looked nice and dessert tasted great.
Great place, I had Saffron's lamb with medium curry, and special white rice, with a draft beer, so it was a pleasure to be there. If you go with a good company, you would have a great time for sure. I will definitely visit it again, and give a try for another meal, hopefully as good as that one. I've visit it again, and the food is still very good! Parking: It does not have designated parking spots, however in the Sudent City there are places to park still, around the restorant.
New review: Not sure what has changed since last time I visited. I ordered online to give another try and food tasted significantly good, not sure what happened on that day, so updating my review. Old review: I'm revising my review for this place from last time I visited. Starting on positive note place looks renovated which is nice but it's not like I disliked old setup but new one definitely is good. Coming to elephant in room, food seems to have changed? I don't know if it was change in chef or ownership food didn't taste anything like before, I ordered chicken 65 which was quite good in past maybe not like actually one but still good but now i didn't feel any flavours, it was quite bland, similar experience with other dishes as well. Staff on other hand were friendly and good service.
Apparently every meal is precooked and heated because everything is with coriander and there is no option to get a meal without it. We ordered and they explained that everything is precooked, I prefer to have a freshly cooked meal when visiting a restaurant. Not very friendly for the people allergic to fresh coriander. All in all, there are much much better Indian restaurants in Sofia.
Bad. What kind of Indian restaurant doesn't ask you if you want a Madras curry spicy and then brings it totally mild. And then when you ask for some fresh chillies doesn't have them. Instead all they can offer is powder or some bottled sauce with vinegar? And then doesn't even bother to say goodbye when you walk past 2 unbusy staff on the way out? Well I guess the boss was away. But if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
Nothing exceptional in the food, interesting but uncomfortable interior - It was a little bit cold in the hall. In addition We’ve been waiting our food really a lot which was disappointing too. We think that there are better Indian restaurants in Sofia, in the city center, so we don’t recommend that place. Otherwise the staff was nice and the prices was reasonable. Good wine list.
