What a wonderful experience we had with Tanya. My 3 children 9, 6 and 2yrs AND I 40yrs have all been tested by her and you couldn’t ask for a more caring and comprehensive audiologist. She put my children at ease with her warm and friendly way, she doesn’t stop till she gets to the bottom of your problem, is well researched and able to provide options and easy to understand explanations for any hearing difficulties. She works with you as a whole person and is a good listener.

I can't rate Tanya Hanekom higher than 5 stars, otherwise I would. I'm a medical specialist and was referred to her by a ENT surgeon colleague in late April 2021 when I first consulted her . She's a consummate professional, is exceptionally thorough with history-taking and patient evaluation, and also has a gentle sweet demeanour. Her prescription for my hearing loss has been spot-on, and I adapted very quickly to my Oticon More1 hearing aid. The effect has been similar to my reaction when I first scuba dived: I then saw a wonderful new world which I'd been totally unaware of. Now the same thing has happened with my hearing: I can hear the small birds singing and chirping, leaves rustling in the wind, even floorboards creaking at home as I walk and so much more. Of course I now hear all speech clearly, particularly well in a noisy background. The best decision I ever made was to take my hearing problem to Tanya, whom I can't thank enough.
I am so pleased I chose this practice to deal with my hearing problems. From the moment I entered the practice, starting with the reception, I felt welcomed and taken care of. Everything is handled with the utmost care and dedication and I was always given the time I needed to have my many questions and concerns addressed. An enthusiastic shout out to Tanya and Florence. Absolutely fantastic. Tanya is a dedicated Audiologist that cares deeply and passionately for your patients. She and her staff are warm and welcoming. She will go to extremes, working after hours to guarantee her patients medical expectations are met. I will recommend her 1000 times over. She is phenomenal.
Tanya Hanekom Audiologists are so professional and so empathetic of special needs kids. They tested and fitted my sons 1st hearing aid giving him the time and space he needed to adapt. Audiology is a calling for them and not just a job. What a great experience he has had. Thank You
My annual audio appointment with Tanya was, as always a pleasure. Especially in these Covid times, it was reassuring to see what extra protection had been put in place for staff and patient. Tanya has a most reassuring manner and is meticulous in her testing and explanations. I would unhesitatingly suggest Sandton Hearing and balance to anyone suffering from hearing loss, tinnitus or vertigo.
