SARS Port Elizabeth

People are not helpful. Maybe language barrier, but they call documents/pamphlets and posters something else here. Long waiting lines and they close earlier than expected.

You have to book an appointment 3 days prior to going there. No appointment then you must arrive at 7am and join the queue outside.

Had to stand waiting outside in the hot sun for almost two hours before we finally got inside the branch and got issued a ticket - they really need to make a different arrangement for the outside queuing system. Once inside things moved along at an acceptable pace. The consultant that dealt with our query was friendly, professional and very helpful.

Very fast and reliable service, nice customer service and clean environment

Absolutely shocking huge rows & once in to find "unmanned" counters that could move along customers. Hate to think how much productivity is lost. Waiting for nearly 4 hours to get service for a simple task.

Poor service!! Standing outside in queue for entire day.. then to get a appointment for the nect week @ 15h00. 16h50.. and still not being served when I had a appointment..for 2 hours ago!! :-

Waited over 3 hours to be assisted at sars to file my tax return. Had all the relevant documents with me including a certified bank statement. Was told all was in order and i would receive the money due to me. Got home got an email to say i need to provide a copy of my bank statement to verify my account even though i had ot with me. Called the call centre and was told i must go back to sars and stand in the que all over again. TOTAL and UTTER incompetence.

Actually no stars. Did e-filing month ago. SARS acknowleded, and mentioned amount owing to us. A month later, still no money paid back, gets informed, that the amount is much less! A total bunch of incompetent employees, and then they still dare to strike! The process gets more difficult every year! Cant do it by yourself anymore. Has to pay somebody, or go and sit in queue for hours!

USELESS! Systems are supposedly offline for hours at a time and conveniently starts operating again just before loadshedding. This is where our tax money in going. Paying people to do absolutely nothing

In a good day it can go real fast and in the busy season you can wait for awhile.If you really hate queues I would advise you to do e filing.Service has been good to me
