Awesome brewery with friendly and efficient staff. They had a problem with card payments. A double payment went through on my side and I decided to ignore it. After 30min the manager/owner picked up the dubble payment on their system and came to us apologized and said he will refund the amount. I have never been to any establishent with such honorable and efficient manager. Thank you! American Pale ale was very unique. It was a first for me to be able to smell grapefruit in a beer! We loved the tasting. Thank you Sedgefield Craft Brewery!
Popped in on a busy Saturday morning and the place was humming, ordered the full tasting and although the lady behind the cash register was too miserable to crack a smile or say "Good morning" or "Thank you", the gentleman pouring the beers was super high energy, explained the various beers in detail and sent me off with a card to the table and the assurance that I should pop right back if I needed any further information. For such a small brewery I was very surprised at the quality and variety of the beers and we enjoyed each for its own unique flavour, but ultimately settled on the Seasonal Lager as our favourite, with the Weiss a close second. The small garden was packed, the beers were flowing and we spent a very pleasant few hours in the company of like minded "beer loving" folk. Its a unique little place and well worth a visit on your journey through Sedgefield!
Wonderful brewery in Sedgefield. The beer tasting was great I did all 8 beers and they were of really high quality.
The Sedgefield Brewery is a must-visit for beer lovers. I have known their beers for a while and have met the previous owner, so I was sad to hear that the brewery changed ownership as I didn't want the quality of the beers to go down. However, I am glad to say that after visiting and tasting their beers again I can confirm that they have kept to the high-quality standard and the new owner was very passionate about the future of the brewery. For those who have never visited the brewery, it is easy to find as it is located at the Scarab Arts & Crafts Village close to the entrance of Sedgefield George side. The brewery itself is not very big, but they have a nice big beer garden outside under tree cover - perfect for those warm days. At the brewery you can do a tasting, grab a pint or two, and even take some of their bottled beers back home. This remains one of those breweries I always recommend to people and I will definitely be back.
We stopped at Sedgefield Brewery when we passed through from Knysna to Wildernis. A guy along our journey on the garden route told us to stop here. I am so glad we did. The beer was amazing and the brewery was something different. We loved the decor and simplicity of it. We will definitely visit again!
Such an awesome experience as a first time in Sedgefield. Very lively brewery with great staff. Beer tasting menu is a must, we discovered some really good beer that way.
Nice stop on the Garden Route. It's just a little tasting room but owner/brewer is friendly, giving out small free tastes. You can also drink full measure but we had more driving to do so got some bottles for our overnight stop. We were glad we did, it was one of the best Porters in South Africa and the IPA was great, too.
A tiny little micro brewery filled with big personalities and a surprisingly big range of beers, all distinctly different. Well worth a visit when at the market or whenever close by.
We had a great experience, even though we're not avid beer drinkers. They have an interesting selection. We were able to taste all the different types for R100. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very poor and unhelpful service from staff. Asked for a beer linked to them which they never heard of. Suggested that they need to update site. Gotcwey defensive and offhand and turned his back on me.
