Visited the Sharpeville Memorial site.Started at the Phelindaba cemetry very disappointing. The place is in a mess. Im hopeful that the Arts and Culture ministry or Municipality will sort it out soon

History and Heritage of Sharpeville well preserved for future generations to heal from the atrocities of past Apartheid South Africa. To never forget the 1960 Sharpeville massacre. To never forget that the tree from which we enjoy the shade of freedom was nourished by the blood that has been shed... Viva Kalusha Mahlangu... People's protest against Pass Laws enslaving SA Black Majority meted with utmost vicious malitary force. 64 people mowed down with a Saracen Tank by Apartheid SA military and security forces... Never and Never again...

Leaking toilets, Overgrown lawns, and not looked after. The place is a mess. In its current form it will not attract visitors and those who visited it will definitely not coming back anytime soon. If looked after it can be a tourist attraction

We come here once a year to commemorate the Sharpeville Day. A very peaceful place with dam alongside it. Very ideal for picnics.

The information accessible and exhibitions are mundane. Center management could do better to document and communicate the story of sharpevill

Place is run down. Zero maintenance. Such a great place now an eyesore

It would be great to visit the memorial place you're going to get the historical experience of 1960 how the people got killed just like that it was very sad and scary

Not very well maintained and the exhibitions give little context. Sad to see such a necessary acknowledgement so neglected

It's a.place to be remembered with its History for sharpeville people like 21 March 61 people died
