Shimwells Yamaha has been a Yamaha dealer since 1991 - moved to Boksburg from Springs - and is now one of the biggest dealers in Gauteng. We offer a wide range of products ranging from On-Road to Off-Road bikes, including Super Bikes, Tourers, Cruisers, Dual Purpose, Adventure, Motocross and Quad bikes.

Just want to thank Zac Botha and his team for his excellent service today, i took my motorcycle to them for a service this morning, zac gave me a call to let me know that my motorcycle is ready for collection at 16h10 , when i arrived i got my motorcycle and the bike was as i left it with them excellent condition, bike was serviced and washed now that is what you call service thank you yamaha shimwells you are my number 1 go to for my motorcycle services i would highly recommend them!!
I cant believe i see good service reviews here. Very annoyed now that i was not part of that. I went in to have a look at a 600cc but ended up seeing a litre bike there that i was really interested in. When i walked in i was not greeted by a lady at her desk in the corner but it was where i was walking. I said hello and she replied. I then asked about a bike and was ignored. I then made my way to her table and asked about a specific bike to which she had no answers, i then asked if i could test ride the bike and was told it is NOT their policy?? Why would someone not test ride something first before purchasing, this left me very skeptic. She made her way to the back of the shop as i honestly thought she would of gotten a manager or someone to help me and i was left waiting 15minutes. A gentlemen entered the shop and politely asked me if i had been helped. I said sort of and i asked him about the bike and for a test ride. It was agreed that he would call me Tuesday to confirm the test ride and to date i am still waiting for that call. Pathetic service from Shimwells in a time where all sales should matter, they obviously are doing well and do not need the business. I'm even more so annoyed now that by typing this bad review that they can see their errors, now i'm helping them in a way. I recently purchased my bike from another Dealer and am very happy with their follow ups and continued support. I will continue to give my honest opinion to that specific place, i have a cousin looking to buy and a friends sister for a bike, i will NOT refer Shimwells Boksburg!!!
Been there Was told off by female worker Was looking at bikes window shopping for future purchase that wouldve been there But rather got lectured on how its not right So Lost a customer wouldve made a big sale Sorry.
Very reluctant to help wgen walking around the shop, but the workshop staff is very friendly and helpful
