First time in Thabazimbi. Got a friendly welcome at arrival. The service was excellent. Very friendly personnel and staff. The room and bathroom were very neat and clean. The included breakfast was really good and served professionally. Enjoyed the stay and will recommend it.Rooms: 5/5

We at short notice stopped at echo mountian front door practically asking for a room right away. We were given a room and enjoyed our one night stay. If i happen to pass through Thabazimbi again i will only stay with these friendly people. A. Nel

Its just a chilled place... lots to do .. rooms are cozy and the bar is hype.. was welcomed by the most beautiful, professional lady by the name of zettia. Such a sweet sweet soul. Echo mountain is very lucky to have such an employee like zettia.

Stayed over for one night. This guest house has a serious identity crises. Echo Mountain Inn brings up images of uninterrupted views over pristine landscape and you expect a mountain. Not so here. This place is right next to a mall with the views and people that goes with it. Furthermore is it home to what looks like a very busy casino. On my visit we were on lockdown level 3 and the casino and bar and restaurant were closed. Which turned out a good thing as the local Spur is excellent. I was met by the cleaner lady in an unmanned reception which was also the entrance to the casino and it looked and smelled a little bit like a cheap bar. No details were required from me. No register were signed. Also the lady had me confused with someone alse as she told me that they expected me the day before. Weird. I was taken to my room. Be warned that these are smoking allowed rooms and they certainly smell like it although they have some kind of airfreshener to attempt to mask the stink This is where the bad news stop. The room was huge. Two comfortable beds. A coffee station. Small fridge with complimentary water. Microwave oven. Powerfull airconditioner. Bathroom with great shower. Good linen and towels. It was quiet and I think I was the only quest. I heard from the locals that the bar is a good place to hang out and I am sorry that it was closed. The next morning breakfast was served on a table right outside my room. What a great spread. Well done! Not much attention was given to the parking area and it looked like some of the staff are sleeping on a hut at the back which also boast one of the biggest Dagga plants I have seen. The worker told me that I was welcome to use as many as I want. I declined the offer and wondered if this will be in everyone's taste Like I said, they have an identity crises because they really do things well, but the ambiance is lacking and the dagga tree does not help either. Will I stay there again. Nope. Better offers around town.

Since my last visit this place has improved allot!! The beds are the best quality i have slept on will definitely stay there again if i am in the area staff is friendly and overall a great Guesthouse. Breakfast was good and service from staff was excellent.Rooms: 5/5

It wasn't the best I've had in Thambazimbi at all. My toilet didn't have any water. The internet was extremely slow. The breakfast was mediocre. There was however a very nice bar to hang out with friends and chill until late. The room was also very clean and neat.
