Great place to stay. We did the Marakele run and this was only 10 mins away from the reserve gates. Lovely pool and great restaurant, well priced and good food. We'll be back next year.Rooms: 5/5

We visited the place on 3 January just to braai and swim. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. Stunning place and i will definitely go back and recommend this place. The charlets are clean and what a stunning restaurant and the menu is nice and everything affordable. Thank you for making our stay something to rememberRooms: 5/5

All the reviews posted was about the restaurant and with them I do not have a complain. My complaints start when you are staying over. Like sharing a bathroom with other guest. No running water in the you cabin. The lock in your cabin is not working. Have to walk 20 meters out in the open to a bathroom. Paths in the night is dark. You share a bathroom with other guests that is sleeping over but there are no locks on the doors. There is 1 showe, 1 wash basin and 1 bath available. If you want to go camping without a tent next to a dam, this is for you. Value for money 0 out of ten.

DO NOT COME! The first thing we encountered was the inaccurate information about the place, as it was given to us by the manager on the phone. We ask for the price on the phone camping before we arrived and were told R350 pretty expensive at the first place, we came anyway because we couldn't find other options around. but when we came to pay - the manager ask for R420, saying it's excluding VAT. In two months trip across the whole country we've never heard something like that. WI-FI doesn't work they just "waiting" for the guy to come and fix it... Ablutions basic and open air - cold!, one bulb for 3 showers, basically dark. donkey for hot water, but no water pressure - for this price? The parking spots are on the dusty ground, no grass. And the worst thing - VERY LOUD music from the bar/restaurant that is very close to the camping area and the challetes, until 5:20 am!! this description was written at 3:30 o'clock in the morning, while we're trying to sleep. Party is totally fine, it is just a "small" detail that the costumers should know before they come. NIGHTMARE It felt unsafe because of a lot of movement in and out of the place of people that come to party from the town until very late at night. The worst experience in two months of traveling. You should be ashamed and tell all those things in advanced and be honest with your costumers.

Very bad experience! Definitely not the money worth. Firstly, the main gate did not work. I had to open it manually which is unsafe. Secondly, we were two people who had to share one towel and it is so small I think it must be for a baby. I did not receive my breakfast and the morning when I brushed my teeth I saw someone else's floss behind the sink.

The Inn is in a beautiful part of Thabazimbi. A group of us stayed one night in the stables accommodation which was enjoyable to experience something different. They seem not to have a hospitable nature, we seemed an irritation to them. I felt they were over the top about the breakage deposit and there were 2 broken chairs in the communal area. The food at restaurant was good, I had a plate of chips which filled my lunch time hunger.

10/10 would recommend Thaba Nkwe. Owner and staff were super friendly and accomodating. Food was good. Plenty to do at the lodge for the whole family. The bar closed off the nights well and all in all I had a great time. Will definitely be coming back.

This is the best place to visit when you are looking for Bush experience. It conviniently located next to Thaba Mall. But it will be better if they can have at least one person working on Sunday. But rather than that this place is home away from home.
