*Subsurface and water monitoring and Assessment
This service relates to the assessment and monitoring of subsoil, groundwater and surface water parameters for physical, chemical and petrochemical impacts resulting from historical, existing and future operation and the evaluation of this in terms of the likely risk to surrounding land users and the environment. The evaluation includes risk assessment using a variety of international as well as draft local standards.
*Remediation System Design & Project Management
Based on our extensive exposure to a variety of impacted sites SEC has leading competency and experience in the practical and cost effective clean-up and project management of sites to be remediated. We work closely with the local and national authorities who are involved, saving our clients time, money and effort and reducing their risk.
*Environmental Impact Assessment
A core area of competence within the company for which we have an excellent reputation with the Local authorities and Provincial and National Departments.. This service includes applications in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, EIA Regulations, Waste Act and Air Quality Act. We provide a “one stop shop” providing a full suite of services from the submission of applications to the handling of approvals and provision of Environmental Control Officers during the construction phase. This service dovetails well with our subsurface assessment competence which allows us to provide a single point of contact for all of the necessary assessments and documentary requirements.
*Green Star Accreditation
SEC was the first company to submit an application as the accredited professional for a Green Star Office design rating in the Western Cape Province for which we ultimately received a Four Star Green Building Council Design Rating. Based on this experience we continue to work on various other Green Star projects allowing us to provide our clients with cost and time effective management of this process, based on a proven track record.
*Waste Management
