UWC SLSJ provides a platform for ALL STUDENTS ACROSS ALL FACULTIES to take part in programs which are development centered and value orientated.
Students for Law and Social Justice (SLSJ) is a South African students organization formed in 2007 dedicated to protecting human rights, preventing discrimination and promoting social justice and the rule of law. It is a society formed in partnership between students of the various universities of South Africa and it is within SLSJ that we aim to transform legal education and access to justice.
We are an organization run solely by students and we are not politically affiliated. We have the student capacity to take on the practical work that would need to be done. This includes aiding schools in enhancing their facilities, offering a means through which community members are able to gain access to justice in a society where this is a major issue and providing a platform for law students to actively. participate in facilitating justice in South Africa.
We welcome you to Students for Law and Social Justice at the University of the Western Cape.
