SnakeCity Edenvale

This is such a hidden treasure in Edenvale. A wonderful host and guide Warren really knows his stuff on snakes and does an amazing job of educating people. The park allows you to handle and take pictures with the snakes and it was truly an amazing experience. You learn alot and can really overcome some fears. The place has parking on site and charges a R40 per person fee and an extra R45 group handling fee to hold the snakes. Really good value for money especially because it's so one on one. This is a must see place.

You'd think that the snakes would be the star of the show BUT WARREN is the man to look forward to. His experience and knowledge is high end. Lots of personal stories to share and very engaging. He's the man with gentle hands to handling these creatures, Warren had me thinking I could actually hold one and I did, held 3 different snakes OMG, feels great knowing I did that, thanks so much Warren for helping me get through it. Hosts more than just snakes, those Australian rabbits were the cutest. The wood carved snakes and croc are a work of art. Place looks quite hidden but I guess it will be physically visible and will attract lots of guest once the reno is complete. Looking forward to when all the snakes are in place hope that the current project is a success. Overall a very insightful afternoon spent. Thank you snake city and Warren

Small venue with lots of snakes and other reptiles and animals. The guides are really informative and well versed with snakes. Would recommend this to anyone looking to learn more about creatures that are feared and not understood

The guide was excellent, the exhibits are genuinely rare like diamond-back rattle snakes and even a hedgehog and bunny cage. Load-shedding just made it more fun

The guide was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed seeing the variety off snakes

Reptiles aren't as scary as adults tend to think. Initially, I was a tad sceptical when it came to the live interaction but once I held a snake in my hands and around my neck I didn't want to let it go. It was so much fun. Wanna face your fears?...I reckon Snake City is the way to go about it.

It was a great experience to see animals out of the usual monkey and elephant as well as the fact that these animals were right in the heart of Edenvale itself. From tarantulas to tarsiers, and different types of snakes, this place is a little hidden gem. The owner seems to take great pride in environmental activism for animals and works hard to ensure they are well looked after. The premises itself is quite small though. Would help a lot for them to have more space.

What an amazing place to visit. We had a guided tour and was very impressed with our guide. Kept the children's attention the whole time, and we learned so much about snakes.
