I went there on Saturday, November 30 with a friend, it wasn't my intention to get my nails done but since I found myself there, I decided to get my nails done too without an appointment and they were kind enough to accommodate me, that was the only plus...a "plus" that I regret! I wanted tips because I had just removed acrylic off my nails and they were brittle but the nail technician that was assigned to me told me that I would have to wait for another nail technician because she does not do tips BUT at the same time, she assured me that going for just gel on my natural nails would work perfectly fine and it will also help my nails grow pretty fast, so I agreed. My cuticles were not treated or pushed back. I'm not a nail technician but I know a couple of other products are applied to the nail before the application of gel/acrylic, that wasn't done either. Three days later, my nails were cracked and chipped...I can simply say my money went down the drain, in fact, I paid double the amount I would have paid at my usual Nail Bar! Below are pics of my nails 4 days after my Sorbet visit!
The salon is clean. The staff is reasonably friendly. However, I was kept waiting at reception with no information given as to why people are coming in after me and being serviced immediately. My app was for 10am. I arrived at 09h54 and only got serviced at 10h10 after I had to stand up and ask what the hold up is. The standard at this particular sorbet is lower than what I have had a most sorbets. No drink offered. No hand massage after nails are done. The salon is noisy. I did not like the shape of my nails. Maybe it was a communication failure.Service: Manicure
The staff at Sorbet have helped me last minute on numerous occasions and honestly each technician has done an outstanding job. Appreciate the good work they do with the waxing too.
Absolutely Disgusted by the Service I received at Sorbet in Glen Acres. The nail technician that usually helps me, wasn't there and I was assigned to someone else. This lady soaked my acrylic overlay off and filed my nails down so hard and rough and even continued to scrape it off with a steel scraper, resulting into some of my own nails being damaged to the extent that they were so thin, they were pink, they were field down to the skin. I complained allot that she was hurting me, but she blamed the product and said that acrylic does that to your nails and I should not use acrylic. I informed her that I am allergic to Gel or any Geli products and Acrylic worked well for me, for many years. She convinced me that Acrylic was terrible and that my nails would worsen and that she would rather do Polygel and I would be fine. She did a Polygel overlayer on my own nails or shall I say, what was left of it I asked her to do a specific style, whereby she said she doesn't do art. She used Gelish as a colour over the Polygel. She proceeded to push between my nail and fige-rbed on the side so hard, that I had a deep gash on my left middle finger, that only started healing 2 weeks later. My nails were thick, bumpy, uneven and looked terrible. Not only did it look like I was walking around with Credit cards as nails, but I also got a severe allergic reaction!!!! I was devastated and left my nails as is, as I had to return to work the following day. I would never ever go back here and felt that I wasted my money and caused myself so much pain and a terrible allergic reaction that lasted a whole week. I had to use allergy and anti-histamine for a whole week, because of their product!!!

I went back to this branch after I had a not so great experience elsewhere. Needless to say, their service is great.Service: Manicure
Seriously unimpressed with this branch. I went to get a gel nail polish fixed and they started filing it off before confirming they even had the color. They also didn’t have the normal nail polish in this color either as I would have settled for that. I had to get a clear gloss put over and I walked out. Extremely unhappy with their service. Will never come back here again. Will stick to the Eastgate branch as they know how to deal with customers. If I could give zero stars I would.
