Figuration Now is a must see show. The space of the gallery itself is already mesmerizing. Mixed with the peace that lies in the space and the amazing painting that play around and communicate with each other you find yourself in a completely different cosmos. The people who work there will also gladly gift you with their knowledge on the works and artists. A MUST SEE!
My friend told me about these recent reviews left. Normally I don't pay much attention to such things, accept I had a horrendous experience with this so called Gallery. I should of written quite some time ago and now I feel guilty about it as more buyers have been ripped off. It's a long story, but about 14 months ago they sold a dubious very valuable Warhol print. A framer said that it was a copy. I had no idea. I tried to get a refund and they dragged they feet for the best of a year. Every single excuse imaginable. I contacted the Police and apparently they are aware of this Gallery. They told me that both of the owners work from abroad and therefore action would be limited, so it the other claims do not surprise me at all. I sent the Artwork back and they claimed it wasn't received. No surprise as they aren't even in the Country. This has been left with my Lawyers. My advice is just do not purchase anything and if you have definitely get in checked and report. It saddens me that there are people like this in the world. But I will not give up and we need to band together.
Ive been completely shocked that such a recognised gallery here in Brussels, deals in fraudulent Art. They have a deliberately convoluted refund process that is designed for the returned artwork to be lost or damaged. I also learnt that one of the owners by the name of Guillaume Smets is wanted by Interpol. Anyone dealing with this individual should report is whereabouts to the Police immediately. Not usurpingly I also found out he is defrauding the Tax Office. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You will never get anything original. It will only be a matter of time before the Police catch up with him.
Cool space, quite small but interesting exhibition. Free and you didn't need to make reservation in advance.

Je ne reviendrai plus dans cet galerie car je n'ai pas aimer la façon comment on m'a accueilli.
