I have been attending Ster Kinekor since I was a kid. Now, the competition is tough because we have access to so much more. However, I will say that regardless of the other applications we have at home, nothing beats the cinema. The crowd, the movie, the hype. It is all worth it. Two weeks after a release of a movie, the cinema was full. I do enjoy the online system as it makes life easier. Thank goodness I am a member, so I receive discount prices. You have my full support.
Nice to be back. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice they had back up generator. Thankfully the loadshedding didn't happen. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the terrible sound quality of the movie. The trailers and ads were very loud. The movie sound was very poor and we struggled to pick up the whole soundtrack. Only went because of discount plan. Not into paying R200.00 for a standard movie for two.
This one was clean and we got go to the Prestige side with recliners. So wether you going with a buddy or significant other the seats were very much comfortable. There is a bar you can have drinks at and even inside the theatre. Waiters to bring your goodies too. I would definitely go there again. Toilets are clean. Only downside for me was how high up one needs to go, yes I'm afraid of heights
We booked a movie and when we got there I was the told that specific cinema was out of order even before we booked the movie and techs was busy fixing it. I was told to choose another movie and I was not impressed I was also given the choice of readmission tickets. I was already standing with my combo in my hand which made it even more difficult. The manager then gladly came to the rescue and gave us a beautiful option of a movie I was more pleased to watch with the promise of readmission tickets to watch the movie at any other sterkinekor. The manager was very professional and handled the situation with so much grace.

Not like the old days. Using tech to pay then system was down, people queing as no way to pay cash it's so stupid. Then one person serving popcorn and condiments with no interaction, there was no ice, cinema lights stayed on for 15 min, wow I could kick some fuss but it's the new norm, not the first time it's been like this, just not hassle free. I went on tue 25 Oct, 14.00 show, ticket to paradise
Very clean & friendly & helpfull staff ,, will definitely fo again to watch a movie or 2
The tech revamp is interesting ; being able to do more things through touch screen was different but appreciated. Made the process a little stressful, and the popcorn is always top notch
I miss the Human connection, I miss waiting in those long Queues to buy a ticket and being given a bad attitude by some staff who is having a rough day, the good all days... Joke a side Ster Kenikor Cavendish has the best staff in SA been going there over a decade.
