Sterkinekor Greenstone Mall

Ster-Kinekor Greenstone is definitely one of the better of the Ster-Kinekor cinema groups in Jozie. The cinema was clean and didn't smell of old stale popcorn or that usual weird smell you sometimes get. 4 stars only because we watched the new Avatar: The Way of Water and the screen appeared dim amd badly lit in terms of colour and clarity. This really did put a damper and what was an incredible movie. The sound was amazing, so big ups there. Booking is easy, either online or self service at one of the many touch screen setups as you enter to the right. Don't forget to book your snacks and drinks at the same time as this is a cashless facility. Kids cinema option also available for a movie cozy option, softer sound and slide in the actual theater. PS4's also available in the lobby while you wait.

The kids cinema is amazing. The slide in the cinema is so awesome as well. Kids to get restless sitting for long periods are able to play while the movie is on. It’s very colourful and they accommodate those small kids who don’t like the darkness.

Staff is not really helpful, quite cold actually. The kiddies cinema is nice. The popcorn is not pleasant... they need to go back to the original red and white brand... this blue brand popcorn is just bitter didn't enjoy it at all. Need to improve on overall service.

Went to see a movie on Saturday. "Assurances" that during load shedding, the show goes on. Paid R100 for a really lousy, badly dubbed Russian imports, as a dying Ster Kinekor is now scrapping the barrel. At 20H00, the power goes off, someone comes to the theatre where all 6 off the patrons are waiting and tells us to wait 5 minutes, as the movie will resume. At 20H20, there is still no movie, so we head outside to find help. There is nobody to help, just a person serving the few snacks to the next batch of people. Eventually the doorman arrives, who suggests I tell the manager. At this point i could have told him that there is no manager, but i could see that i was just wasting my time. R700 for popcorn an movies wasted. So I email them, i mean I don't think a new movie ticket is unreasonable, as I paid in full for a half movie....and guess what...they cant be bothered to respond. Ster-Kinekor Theatres is not what it used to be, stay away!!

I mean we got there, watched a movie and left. There wasn't much to it. But the pop corn price, mhhhh they are high

It's been quite a while and let me tell you, Ster Kinekor Greenstone has been busy upgrading! The spacious, luxury seating and quality sound makes the experience that much more enjoyable. The temperature in the cinema was perfect, not freezing cold like it used to be. The self-help ticketing system, which now includes the drinks and snacks, is so much more efficient and the resulting shortened waiting time in line is such an improvement.

The way of purchasing your ticket or food is not very clear. There are quite a few steps u need to take before getting to your movie.

Ster Kinekor should implement stricter quality checks for staff employed to service the public.

Love the bumper cars for all ages

Cinema was nice and clean, movies are only value for money if you book with loyalty offers etc, otherwise with snacks you can easily end up spending about R600 for 3 of you. A real luxury at the moment.
