I produce my own meat,eggs and vegetables and sell the surplus to others.I keep Chickens,Quail and Guinea to supplement my food .A few months ago I acquired a Rooster Guinea Fowl to start breeding and it has been lonely since.This is the reason that brought me to Sterkloop.I didn't get to see a lot pf the place as I omly wanted to buy Poultry but what I saw made me happy.The prices on the Rhode Island Red was a bit steepcompared to other breeds.At this place you can also buy Quail, Sylkies,Bantams,as well as a variety of other wild birds.I didn't get the Guinea Fowl I'd come for but the service was fast,friendly and efficient.

The Lady at the live fish department was extremely helpful and went out of her way to help us. She really still had a pasion for her job, explaining every detail to our little son.

Love love love this place, reasonable pricing, awesome wide range for most domestic animals. The two ladies I deal with also own Boerbuls and we always spend more time chatting than actually purchasing my monthly dog food supply. Private selling of puppies on their property makes weekends special here and recommend Sterkloop purely for the ambience where you forget you are surrounded by concrete...
