If you love nature then this is the place to be. The views will blow your mind. I truly enjoyed the walks to the suspension bridge and just having a moment by the beach. I loved sound of waves as I slept during the night. This for me is a perfect location, as it's not far from activities in the area. It is however a self catering accommodation but the restaurant and park shop makes up for all your food needs.
Awesome place to be. Beautiful nature Something that you have to see!! I would give a 5 star rating, however my rating is due to the following: I do recommend that the parking lot be cleaned daily as there are cigarette stumps everywhere. There was also rubbish in the rock canal which is very unappealing. Lastly, I understand that the restaurant burned down in 2016. But it was shocking that the site has not been cleaned up properly. From the parking lot there is a site of remains from the burned structure. As a major tourist attraction, I expected a little more.
Awesome views and a definite must visit for anyone looking for some beautiful trails to hike. Also beautiful lookout points from where to see dolphins, whales ect. If you lucky you might even be able to see a otter. Hiking up to the waterfall is something to definitely consider. If you in the area and looking for adventure go and pursue some adventure in this pristine area.
Stunning ocean view but not clean and very used. The place is worth the visit! But you have to be aware of a room that can only be used for a quick sleep without looking into corners… very sad. The Tsitsikamma Park is great!
Arguably the best camping grounds in SA. Right in the shore line with spectacular views of both the coast, sea and coastal forests. Can get very busy during school holidays to be prepared to neighbourly. A jewel in the SANPARKS offering
We stayed in a chalet they're a little bit old but that ibky added to the feeling of being in a real out of the beaten path cottage. Loved it. The view was Incredible and the cottage had everything we needed.
We spent a beautiful 4 nights in one of the forest huts - perfect for 2 people and a lekker upgrade from our usual camping. Hearing the wild ocean day and night, Knysna loeries and Paradise flycatchers not so elusive, and a troop of Vervet Monkeys up in the trees - thankfully not as cheeky as we have experienced elsewhere. All huts are fully shaded. Note forest huts 2-16 do not have a sea view as they are built under a canopy of trees next to the sea. I do not know about forest hut 17-20 as we did not go check them out. Forest hut 1 has a seaview from it's little balcony as it pokes out the trees a little. A big pool with full sea view is kept clean, and even big enough to do a few laps in +-20m :. The toilets, showers and kitchens areas were kept clean and we did not have ever have to queue for showers. There is lots to do in and around the rest camp. A special place indeed!
We did not stay over; only did the rather long but worthwhile walk to the hanging bridge. It is beautiful! but the local drought has dried up many of the streams and waterfalls. Don't try the bridge walk in sandals or flip-flops! They'll slow you down and distract you from the good stuff. See the pics. 'Just wish they'd get a move on with all the construction. And put locks on the doors in the public looz. [PS: You may be interested to know that this Tsitsikamma forest actually belongs to me! That's right. I asked God of I could have it and He said 'Yes'!] [Quite nice of Him, don't you think?] [Okay then - Hér!]
The weather was not so cool but eventually became better, great customer service from everyone that was part of the day, shout out to Norman who was our guide, from the trail,to the kayaking,Lilo, and jumping from the Cliff, the suspension bridge and all, it was an experience to remember and memories to treasure
What a perfect stay at the Oceanettes. The room was very spacious and the balcony with breathtaking views. Full kitchen and couch sitting area as well. Unforgettable experience!
