"Summerwood Country Estate has been established in 1999 and is an extension of Montello Caterers which Dorothy van der Merwe started in 1994. Since then Summerwood has been one of the Free State’s most renown venues for weddings, corporate functions and conferences with excellent service and mouth watering food. Summerwood is situated about 4km outside Bloemfontein on the Bultfontein road R700 with beautiful gardens and a real relaxing country atmosphere.We would love to show you our venue. I slept at your place from 8 to 10 April 2023, the invoice you gave me is written 8 to 9. The invoice is not written that I paid in full as per Department Of Defence requirements. I have tried to contact you over and over again to request that you rectify my invoice however you keep on telling you are too busy, as a result the money that I paid at your place while I was on an official trip was deducted from my salary. This is very sad for me as it is difficult already with the economy how you refused to assist me even after I have begged over and over again for assistance

Great venue outside town. Great service.

Place is beautiful, you able to do everything in one place for events, especially for weddings, even for photoshoot. Service was great and these enough parking. Have option to host indoors or outdoors.

Bet team and multiple options of venue set-up and truly when Dorothy and Madelein say they got it they got it!

Great venue for weddings, birthdays and general celebrations. Comes with wonderful catering and decor with ample parking space. Google maps accurately leads you there but beware the dirt roads that are terrible for most cars with a low ride height/clearance. No visible bar facilities at the event I attended but still a great time out. Car guard and waitrons available as well.

The place is great for hosting events, we had our wedding there and it was fantastic. Wedding venue is spacious and clean. Accommodation was fine and the food are great.

The owner of this venue is extremely unprofessional. I was there for a wedding and she was screaming at people that was at the venue infront of other guests and also the tone she speaks is foul. Her wedding food is also not up to standards as most of the food tasted like something I’ve never had and never want again. PS Don’t eat their fish as its just a piece of rubber. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VENUE STAY AWAY!
