Great service we received there, we were on family getaway of two families. The stay was great too, just not happy with the rooms they have no privacy it's a hall with beds. It's smelly and old old blankets and sheets. Rooms: Rooms are very small open hall and no privacy. Very smelly and old old blankets and sheets. No fridge and the kettle wasn't working. Nearby activities: These plenty of activities around, you can choose where to go and they not far from each other. Safety: It is very safe, the place is fenced all around and twice. These remote control gates and its on a very safe neighborhood.
I had an ordeal with this place . 2019. Very disappointed for my birthday. We just woke up in the morning and left for Pretoria because my partner was very angry. I waisted my money. Can't recommend to any soul. Their rooms are not better than my granny's rooms in my village. Nothing is appealing in that placeRooms: 1/5
My vacation was so beautiful until I booked at this lodge. The rooms smell awful, shower was like I'm on a tap outside the house, no headboard with stained wall where you have to direct the head..this lodge is low low standard,,what a waste of money,, Please improve the conditions in your rooms Summit management.the outside view is beautiful but the rooms are a no-no. Swimming pool has to be maintained.
The place is well located, rooms are okay though they can do with some renovation.I do sympathize with the impact of lockdown on businesses like this one, but I really failed to comprehend the poor hygiene in their communal kitchen that we had to use. The property is definitely old but there is no excuse for not cleaning the kitchen when you know guests are coming and may want to use it as Graskop does not have regular fast food outlets like Wimpy, Spur, Mc Donald's etc. We can definitely come back, but they will have to attend to the kitchen issue. Ps!! Their website profile must also reflect the current condition of the property as it is kind of misleading.....
ALERT, I got robbed in this hotel !!!!!!! I stayed in this hotel, I said nothing about the condition of the hotel, mold, it looks like huts made by children, no insulation, just hell. Breakfast was included, we had to ask for it, and even so the staff seemed astonished, the breakfast was awful. But the staff seemed so welcoming and kind that we had overlooked all of their flaws. Except that one day when we were in Kruger Park for a safari someone from the hotel probably a cleaning lady entered our room and searched our bags. Results I had 1000 € in the bag, in the evening there was only 700 €. Obviously it's nobody's fault, I'm so sad I was so stupid to trust anyone.
The maintenance of the rooms is neglected. However the guys in the reception are very welcoming and warm.Rooms: 2/5
Had a great time here. The service was excellent. We had everything we needed and a clean pool, however the place can use a good renovation. Loved it
I was excited for my trip which I have been postponing since the beginning of lock down Easter 2020. When I eventually arrived at Summit Lodge Easter Thursday 2021, it is supposed to be a self catering however there was no fridge no microwave oven...I was with kids and I had bought groceries for which most of it got spoilt and ended up in the bin, I could not enjoy my adult beverages as I could not keep them cold. Then one of the days the electricity went off and no one came to advise what they were going to do about it, I went to the office and was offered a candle with no lighter/matches. This was my worst accommodation ever out of all the vacations I have ever been to.
Still on renovations but good service,welcoming owners ,nice view,, will add value after renovations, will definitely go there againRooms: 3/5
I don’t even know where to start well I wouldn’t recommend summit to anyone until the place gets renovated, how can you take a shower when the water won’t move smelling carpets the blankets omg very shocking, the list is just endless, how about you close the place then renovate it then you can start trading, you can make a lot of money … my experience there was bad honestly I don’t see myself there again
