As far as shopping centres go, this one is cute. It's open air but there is a roof for rainy days and I was happy to see enough seating so that you don't feel crowded by people. There's a Checkers anchor tenant as well as a Clicks and a number of clothing retailers. The KFC and Wimpy do a brisk trade. On the down side, opening hours on the weekend isn't great and there could be more security - just in case. It is also set up so that wheelchair users can easily navigate the area. There's a clean toilet and free parking
Called the number to ask what the opening hours are as it a public holiday. The women who answered the call was so rude and told me to check the website which is not clear on what the hours are and says it might differ. Told me she was on leave and then put the phone down in my face. Customer service Is important. Maybe you should take your number off the website if you don’t want to be disturbed.
This is a very nice addition to Swellendam. Nice to see the town progressing. Wimpy has such nice staff and extremely delicious ice cream with chocolate sauce. So I had it twice for breakfast.
Visiting the town of Swellendam yesterday and decided to stop at the mall. We found parking spot but as I was getting out of the car I noticed a group of people sitting under the trees next to our parking spot drinking black label out of quart bottles visibly intoxicated. The parking lot was filled with vagrants and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the car there but we’ve been on the road for a while and needed to eat. When we reached the courtyard in front of the DeJagers the scene that awaited us was only comparable to a taxi rank. There was one group of people who took it upon themselves to bring their boombox to the mall and blast their music across the courtyard whilst singing and dancing along and having the time of their lives. Sad to see the state of the mall these days. There were no visible security around. Won’t see me there any time soon.
This was the first place I was told about when I moved to Swellendam. Great and convenient. Ample secure parking. Great job.
It offers what a person needs. Easy to navigate and there is generally parking available.
It's small but functional. It has most of the shops one might require. It's clean and easily accessible. The parking is convenient and leads straight to the shopping areas. It has a few fast food restaurants, which is a staple for a good shopping centre, but a pleasant surprise for one this small.
Would love to see more vegetarian options in pre cooked meal fridge. Perhaps have a training session with staff on how to pack shelves without blocking the passage with the trolley full of boxes and then they stand straight opposite this effectively blocking tour way and usually they have an informal chat with some of the others workers there that totally block the passage. Staff always very helpful to help you find products. Very friendly staff. Thank you for an overall great experience.
Best service in town.
Well placed with ample parking, in and out can be tricky .wide shopping entrance/ exit with full trolley. Pleasant security personnel who take an interest in you if you speak their language. Shop set up with the vegetable on your left then all the other items are sistermatic which makes it easier to shop.
