this morning due to being late for the check out we found all the six suitcases of the two apartments and our high value clothes including underwear brushes thrown in a chest in the recaption, where we fixed the suitcases on the tables of the "restaurant". after my father and the owner went to the room to check if there were still the 4000 rand hidden by my father under the mattress and they weren't there. the owner promised to refund us but we are not sure given his way of doing it

Excellent service! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Only downside was that the kitchen cupboards and dish cloths had a bad smell. But other than that, it was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend!Rooms: 5/5

Amazing place! The rooms are beautiful and have sea facing view... The staff is very courteous especially the operational manager Ms. Elonie sorry if I spelt it wrong  was such a nice, kind lady. Definitely recommend this place if you ever visit Hermanus.Rooms: 5/5

Nice space for a few people. Friendly service. Just in our apartment were 2 horrible smells. One when you open the kitchen cupboards and the other was the carpets in the rooms bc they told us a geyser burst so the carpets were damp instead of moving us. Terrible to smell whole weekend. Toaster didn't work either. And they only give you one room key no matter if there are 2, 4 or 6 people in one apartment. They only gave 1 dishwasher tablet for the 3 days that we stayed.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Will definitely return. Beautiful apartments modern outlay fully equipt. Friendly staff. Comfy beds.. clean fresh linen including the apartments. I JUST LOVE IT!!! My family had a blast. THANK YOU WHALE COAST HOTEL FOR HAVING US!!!

This holiday destination is immaculate and is kept that way by dedicated staff members; namely Ilanie the manageress and Nonny, one of the cleaning girls.  Ilanie is also on top of things in the restaurant where breakfast is served every morning. There she is assisted by the friendly Theresa and Nomsa who are always eager to please their guests.  On our arrival the Friday, Amen helped us get our luggage to the rooms.  On the down side, I have to include that on Saturday morning I informed management about the short shower arm which restricts the  water from the shower rose reaching your body when showering. You physically have to hug the tiled ledge in the shower to rinse the soap off your body. This was not a pleasant experience. Nothing was done to remedy the issue during our stay there. The simple solution was to unscrew the 240mm shower arm and replace it with a 390mm unit. Had this been done, I would have given you a 5 out of 5.  Our gas braai ignition wiring was hanging out which meant that we could not use it. After reporting this it was replaced with another gas skottel braai which also had an ignition problem. We went to Checkers to purchase a special gas lighter to use this braai. We also had to clean this replacement braai ourselves.
