Great vibe and decor, interesting and unique shops. I have not tried the Railway train from Cape Town yet but heard it’s fantastic. Always trying new food stalls as there is sushi, pizza, seafood, burgers, fresh juices, fudge, foreign imported candy, fresh produce, clothing stalls, jewelry and many other places! Their gin is great and when I go there i always pick up a gift or 2 for others.
What an absolute treat! Our favourite market so far, with the highlight of the steam strain pulling up right outside. Great selection of food stalls, we sat right next to the fire while a one man band played. Cute stalls to check out too Just a great overall experience
Loved the little stalls and friendly people. Stumbled upon some gems. The Food and music was awesome. What a fun way to spend an afternoon.
What a beautifully designed place. Steam punk/art deco feel. Nice selection of food and shops have interesting items. Overall great experience.
Tidy little hideaway just off the N2 near Grabouw. Opens at 9am for your breakfast run. Irony is that there are few breakfast options available at the vendor booths. Ventilation was a concern for me with the smoke from ovens and fryers initially flooding the communal area.
The most beautiful infrastructure to perpetuate the railway experience. Outdoor & indoor seating available. Numerous eateries to choose from. There is an outdoor play area & rock climbing area. Enjoyable outing especially with live entertainment.
It's a great spot to stop at for a few hours! There is a lovely variety of stores to browse from clothing, to thrift, to food, decor, and accessories. There's also many different food and drink stores to order food from. When we went on a Sunday, there was live music. The entire area inside the station is clean of litter, and the tables are swiftly cleaned after people depart. The bathrooms are also very clean. Outside has several activities for children, from a jumping castle to putt putt and a climbing wall. The establishment is pet friendly, but only outside. You aren't allowed your dog into the building.
Loved this market. The building itself is a steam punk style creation which would not be out of place in Gotham city, fascinating to wander around and watch the workings of the place. The selection of food stalls and craft shops is fabulous, there really is something for all tastes. Great children's playground and book bus outside. Really cool vibe. The Poké bowl I had was outstanding.
Great venue to visit, amazing building with a wide variety of food stalls and shops to be explored. There is a bar and lots of seating available. Outdoor play area for the kids and you can watch the steam train come past.
Plenty to see and many different food stalls. Special stall 'Timbers' with the lady who knits many of the baby clothes the lady making the different jams and canned goodies. Also had an awesome beacon and cheese burger and pulled pork burger at 'Station Grill'. Interesting old school tools and brick and brack. Clever baby design goodies at 'Ma se kinners'.
