Tavern 'n Ale

Don't advertise that you close at 2am if you don't. I have been many time's now and had great times there, but recently it is closing earlier. I have gone at 11pm, 12pm and 1am to be told they closed. Why?

Often quiet place, nice chilled vibe to have a couple of drinks and unwind

Tavern and ale is not what I expected, it's a spacious and a live place you get the full club experience without the club drama the people of all race groups get on well and are super friendly I made so many friends and the atmosphere the dj brings is the cherry on top I had an awesome night and will definitely return.

Myself and my Brother had a fantastic time we watched the champions league final.We ordered chicken burger wow it was amazing large portion of chips for R75, drinks we reasonably priced.oh and we did Uber our way up and down to avoid any issues with traffic officers. All and all fantastic live atmosphere.great bar lady:

It was an all round great experience going there. The vibe was nice, drinks were cold and food was good. The owner i really can't remember his name was a nice guy. Very friendly Parking: They have outdoor parking in front of the place. Pretty decent I'd say.

Next level rib special. With a Chef who really cares. Dog friendly... Amazing we will be back... And they have a Jukebox

Quite an interesting place. I loved the vibe the crowed is mature but friendly. First time was awesome with a great friend and made some new friends too. I'm not so good at pool/snooker but I kept the music going. The jukebox is awesome but the music needs a bit of an upgrade. Other than that it's a lekker place the kitchen wasn't in operation at the time I was there. So no happy food was available at the time

Just went to watch stormers game but felt intimidated by inebriated patrons who loudly tried to almost bully me into putting money into some barlady's fund - because apparently she was pregnant. But I don't know her!

Loved it there. 3 of those stars are earned through the friendly and effecient customer service received by the waitresses by the bar and dance area. Music was great too..another star there. Fifth goes to the decent upkeep of the toilets. Will definitely be back. Great place ...

Real value for money pub. Drinks well priced. Food is decent though. Good vibe on the weekends, though can get quite cramped inside . Plenty of outdoor seating, specially on those warm summer Friday evenings. Parking can be a problem as you have to park on Main Road, Diep River.
