Thabazimbi Guest house

Clean bed and breakfast with tidy bathroom. Fridge in room. Shower excellent pressure. Wifi not great but that is due to the town. Staff are helpful and assisted quickly when a request was made. Bugs an issue but that’s due to the rain that these bugs are all over town

Service from the staff was great and the back yard was very nice to relax in but the bathrooms although clean, were not the easiest to use, the shower took a lot of effort to adjust the hot and cold water as the taps were simply not working well. Also the usual amenities such as shampoo and lotion were not provided. I heard it is one of the better places in town to stay so I would still recommend it.

Beautiful Guest House, the staff was amazing and food delicious. I got a wonderful room with a corner bath and ample cupboard space room 5. The swimming pool was clean and the garden surrounding it very well looked after. Would not stay in another place when visiting Dwaalboom and/or ThabazimbiRooms: 5/5

The staff were excellent. Trevor, Janet, Mary, Elizabeth and the rest of the staff made my stay pleasant and memorable Management and ownership made me feel unwelcome and treated me as if was privileged to be in the gueshouse rather than a service which was paid for. Facilities were well kept and hygienically pleasant.

Very friendly service and great breakfast! The rooms are beautiful and have air conditioning, which is ideal for Thabazimbi. Regarding the keys to your room door and main gate, it is very organised and easy. *As a side note, there is also a very cute guest house cat to top it off*

I would like to thank the staff for being the utmost professional through out my stay, even though we had a few ups and downs a few people made my stay well and I would like to thank Janet, Mary, Trevor, Lynette and Elizabeth A few suggestion though would be to stop having animals in the kitchen...and for Janine to have a formal introduction with guest that will be staying for long periods of time In terms of catering the food was nice, but there was not much changes for supper if you had special dietary requirements And if you going to be staying in the winter just be cautious because the warm water runs out after a min I have stayed in the guest house the same period as Mr Sigenu and can completely agree with his statement it is not exaggerated in anyway. Good clean rooms. Very spacious and well designed. The only problem I had was the noisy guests opposite my room until the early hours of the morning.

It's a very nice guest house. I've stayed here before.. It is possible I might change my review in the future but I'm giving them 2 stars firstly because they have a limit on their internet for 250mb and if I'm paying almost a grand a night I expect uncapped internet. Secondly I shower there in winter and after a minute my water goes ice cold, totally unacceptable

Rooms are very nice and clean, I was warm and comfortable, TV has more channels to see. I was not bored

The co-owner made us feel like unwelcome paying guests over 5 months, accusing me of incorporation when it was her miscommunication with her staff that was to blame, made empty promises, policed our dress-code to dinner without enabling us to enjoy dinner in our rooms and told us we cannot expect decent parking because we are not CEOs.<br/>She justified having cats and dogs roaming the kitchen daily by saying it's a pet friendly guesthouse yet demanded us to keep to a certain dress code to eat in the dining hall. <br/>She also tried milking our company but inflating laundry prices without notice by up to 600% in the middle of our stay then only turned back on the decision when we challenged her on it. Her initial response was that we should not be concerned because she communicates directly with the travel agency.<br/>After the first of our colleagues left and left a frank yet deservedly harsh comment in the guests' comments book, they hid the book from the rest of us so we could not leave our comments and reviews for other guests to see. We had to write or reviews on loose badly torn pieces of A4 paper.<br/>The staff is excellent - Janet, Mary, Trevor and Elizabeth. The only people who treated us with dignity.
