My twin daughters and nephew had supper on Saturday 12th May 2023. As they left, a robber attacked my daughter in front of the restaurant and stole her phone. There was little help from the guard and the robber got away. There seems to be a syndicate as my one daughter has an iphone11, my nephew has an iphone 12 and the daughter who was robbed had an iphone 14 promax. The daughter with the iphone 11 and my nephew both had their phones in hand when they left. My daughter with the iphone 14 had her phone in her bag. Yet the robbber choose to attack my daughter who had the iphone 14 in her bag. He had enough time to pull her hair, grab her neck, pull her bag away, open the bag and steal the iphone 14. He did not take the bag. While all this was in seconds, no-one guard helped promptly. On the 24th May I spoke telephonically to Sunil, the manager. He acknowledged that this is a high risk area and that there is a syndicate operating in his restaurant. He said he can’t risk his staff’s lives in doing anything to address the crime.
