The management team are amazing and very well organised. The hotel is well placed and a comfortable place to stay at. The breakfast was very nice. A bonus for cat lovers is Noah the resident cat. Overall I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the Coach House.
Stayed for one night. It was comfortable and homely. Hosts were friendly and the breakfast was a great, tasty way to start the day!
Wonderful stay here. The house has character and is inviting. The owners are kind, friendly and helpful. Walking distance to many excellent restaurants, bars and the wine tram! The only downside was that I visited in mid-May, and I found the house and my room to be cold, even with the heat on A/C unit. They provide plenty of blankets, so once you're in bed you're OK, but it is an old house and it was almost winter. If you're coming from a warm climate like me, make sure to bring sweaters and warm socks. Overall, I highly recommend The Coach House, and I would definitely stay there again next time I'm in Franschhoek in summer, next time!
Absolutely stunning guesthouse, beautifully maintained. The rooms are neat and clean and have a lovely homey feel to them. Breakfast has always been an enjoyable affair with Bertie and Nel checking in and providing you with 5 star service and conversation. If you're looking for a gorgeous and peaceful place to unwind, The Coach House should be top of your list
Amazing place to stay in Franschhoek! Fabulous breakfast! I hope will be back to The Coach House!
We had the best welcome. Sharon, the owner, left a card, champagne, a balloon and flowers for my sister's birthday! None of which was charged or asked for. The rooms were fabulous. The outside space perfect with a small pool and very comfortable loungers. Fab patio area. Breakfast was just lovely. All the family and returning guests are just charming and helpful. The location brilliant, just a few minutes to the high street. Would recommend this B&B very highly.
What a stunning place to stay! Bertie & Nel are incredible hosts, so friendly and they go out of their way with everything for their guests! So loving this place Denis & MargieRooms: 5/5
Stayed here over a weekend for a family wedding nearby. Well-equipped and tastefully decorated rooms and in a quiet part of Franschhoek in walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We stayed in one of the adjoining rooms to the main house so privacy and noise wasn't ideal and oft times we had to close our blinds as it looked out onto a busy veranda. Breakfasts were delicious and filling! Would definitely to anyone needing a place to stay but choose a more private room looking onto the back garden.
We could not have chosen a more perfect location or accommodation for the start to our holiday. Sharon's welcome was just lovely as was our room, the gardens and the breakfasts. The place is spotless and a 2/3 minute walk to the main street where all the shops and restaurants are. 2 very small niggles, the WiFi wasn't great and after a day of site-seeing and wine tasting it would have been good to have a paddle in the pool but it was not in use
Neat and tidy. The hosts are very hospitable and helpful. A pleasurable experience.Rooms: 5/5
