The Cradle Lodge

A big thanks to Dean and his team for all the effort they put into making our stay amazing! We booked 7 rooms for my daughter's 21ste birthday party and all rooms were clean and comfortable.Thanks for the platters you made as well as a very nice breakfast we enjoyed! Special thanks to Masaba and Emily for the way they handled all our requests. Really appreciate it!

Had a booking for next weekend. Lodge canceled the fully paid booking today, no reason, can't reach them via phone. Now we're unable to find alternate accommodation so close to the timeRooms: 1/5

We had a booking for 26 March 2022, unfortunately the room's kitchen had no kettle the room had a aircon, but not working no water in one tap when we woke up the next morning a strong gas smell, so bad my eyes watered positive we had a great breakfast with friendly, helpful staff.Rooms: 1/5

We were invited for a birthday party. The pool was dirtygreen. The mosquitos were so bad and we had to bare their stings. The hosts had to clean the place,look for glasses in the store room. The paid for a full services and ended up doing everything themselves. They even had to wash dishes so that their guests could have glasses to drink out of. They never answered their phone when they were called to sort out the issues of things that was supposed to have been providedpaid for but was never delivered. This place is probably only rated 4 stars by the owners as this is one of the worst places I have been too

The owner took weeks to respond to any communication while I was trying to arrange bookings for my wedding guests. Would not answer messages, only after phoning multiple times would he answer. Was told there is a shuttle between their establishment and our venue but upon a return trip from Mozambique he told us the shuttle was stolen but not to worry, it will be sorted out by the time we get married. The day before our marriage we stayed there and also got ready. I ordered platters for the ladies and gents and they forgot about the gents and offered them breakfast instead and charged us extra for that. I also asked if we could book the same room for the Saturday and they said it's not a problem. Yes, we had people staying over Friday night and Saturday night but we were the only ones who stayed in the same room. When people returned from the wedding the rooms were not cleaned. When we arrived in the room a glass was set out with candles and champaigne in the fridge. The next morning we thanked them and they said it was nothing. It wasn't them, they lied to us! My aunt and sister in law went in, cleaned the room and make it all romantic. Upon receiving the bill and seeing the additional costs we paid and again I email Dean the owner several times and finally phoned him. He was so rude and insulted my nose and told me I could go to hell. Definitely not recommended.

Very disappointing. When we arrived no record if our booking. Were allocated a cold dark room initially. The gentlemen who died all the work at the lodge was the most accommodating. Without him I do not see a good future for this lodge at all

Friendly, clean all round. Fantastic breakfast, staff were so helpful and nothing was too much for them. See you again.

Shocking! I made the reservation on behalf of my parents and was horrified to learn that the establishment did not live up to our expectations. Dirty linen, dirty room, no water during shower, it looked like someone has already slept in the bed! Manager tried to save the situation but it was just too late. Will not recommend this establishment.

There was no bar fridge, one towel for 2 people to share, the breakfast buffet was not well prepared. No soap holders in the shower. Basin plug did not work at all. No bed side carpets. No water and no hot water. Liquor is extremely expensive. Would not rwfer anyone to stay there.

Best stay around the Cradle, Dean The owner was always available to assist us and Mashaba The Manager and the Cradle Lodge team were all so gracious and generous with their time and service, can't wait to go back!
