If you're in Norvalspont, this is the place to be. Originally a railway station, bar and hotel, from 1857. Under new management and service was very friendly with great prices. Good toilets, plenty of parking. Old photos and lots of atmosphere.Service: 5/5
Enjoyed Jackie the new owner and fell in love with the rescue doggie who needs a loving home. PLEASE support Jackie in her endeavour to restore the place... it's alredi a very nice pub to crawl in to but with enough business coming in... it'll be back on track to it's former glory, if not moreRooms: 2/5
Was there this morning no longer Glasgow Pont Hotel now Norval Pont Hotel, very dark and dingy cannot go into main hotel as it is now private quarters small bar, 1 pool table
We popped in for a quick look and ebded up staying the night. As we walked through the door we inmediately felt at home. The new owner, Jacqueline is restoring the place to its former glory. Definitely looking forward to visiting again soonRooms: 4/5
Very quaint little hotel in the small town of Norvalspont. Lots of history in this old building. Friendly and helpful staff that is always available made our stay very pleasant. The only thing you need to be aware of is the shared bathroom facilities.
A racist white male denied 9 people food at this disgusting place simply because we were black.... We called to book and were told its open and available and then we get there and told its full. The racist idiot stood at the door and didn't even let us in.... At then 3 white people step out after 20mins.
Good food, good people and very friendly locals. Always a plus when my kids enjoy and my animals are welcome too. Our fourth stay overnight and it won't be our last.
Hugely historic hotel. Enjoyed visiting again today. Great to chat to Oom Frik who was there and allowed me to stroll around the hotel and enjoy the place and some of its history.
A real shocker.... on holiday with the family, called to enquire whether they were open for business and they confirmed. 15 minutes later, a white male insisted that they were closed for the day on arrival! Let us not forget that there are still places as such that do not welcome people of colour as paying patrons. Northern Cape, I am disappointed.
On Saturday 2022-03-12 as a group we visited the bar, the service was excellentService: 5/5
