Nestled on a rocky outcrop under the African sun, the Farm Inn Country Hotel’s unmatched hospitality and the warmth of thatch, stone and natural materials make it a luxury ‘home away from home’ for guests. Amidst the serenity of park- like grounds on a private game sanctuary, guests can enjoy the magic of a wildlife sanctuary with 23 indigenous species, including lion, leopard and cheetah.

A family owned business which is now in its 4th generation of ownership, guests at the Farm Inn are assured of the same extra-special attention every time they visit. From memorable getaways to conferences, weddings and parties, dedicated attention and care are given to each visitor.

Since 1982, the Farm Inn has grown exponentially, but hasn’t lost its personal touch. The hotel boasts 83 bedrooms, 17 function venues, 2 chapels, 3 bomas, one of which provides an intimate venue amongst the roars of the lion enclosures. If you prefer something more formal the hotel’s Tugela à la carte restaurant is open 7 days a week.

At The Farm Inn on our wedding night... no toilet paper. No hot water. Suite not cleaned up after we got dressed there. And we were not messy. But still. We went to reception to kindly report this to them. At the end of the celebration, we arrived at the suite, which was unchanged. Paid extra for a chapel and reception area with an aircon... we had to continuously ask them to switch them on.
I booked and cancelled my wedding before lockdown, after numerous emails I have received no feedback and when I phone reception they say the finance department is not available. They are basically stealing money as they have not delivered any service. I am utterly disgusted at their lack of professionalism.Service: 1/5
Love this place. Perfect for a weekend getaway or a wedding. The staff is incredibly friendly and the game drive is super fun. The guides are funny and very informative, you see different animals every time but the massive lions steal the show each time. The rates are very fair when you divide it within a group & it's well worth the price - we had a lovely huge room with a spacious balcony. The only fault I'd give this place is that I found the breakfast a little greasy; however, besides the breakfast, I can't comment on the food at the restaurant, as we brought our own food, but we did stop there for a few drinks & the service was wonderful. The Farm Inn is a great place for both tourists & locals, as well as families, couples, and solo venturers. It's the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon with company or by yourself with a book. Kids seem to love the petting zoo, donkey rides and jumping castle. I've been here twice now and will definitely be returning. I'm very keen to check out the "Wine & Whiskey Wednesdays". To the management, it would be amazing if a game drive in the evening was possible. I also think lighting up the area where the Jaguars are at night just a little dim light so that guests can choose to chill there in the evening would enhance the stay. It's a very serene area & we were hoping to lounge on a sofa there but it was so dark, we chickened out. It's very thoughtful of you to place a kettle in the rooms with tea & coffee, and even that little cookie but adding a bottle of still water to that would be the perfect touch. Thank you for the wonderful service.
I remember loving this place when my mom took me here as a child. I returned with my own family and I was very disappointed that they no longer have the buffet breakfast. The breakfast was bad. Cold toast. Rock hard butter. Burnt/Crispy eggs. Bad filter coffee. Our room was lovely but one of the single beds upstairs had straw all over it that fell from the roof, the floor also had the same straws ; it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. On the second night of our stay we noticed a rat in the room. Mphatso was super efficient and friendly in helping get rid of it. The game drive was really lovely.
This time around, they were very unprofessional, and uninterested in customer satisfaction and well being. Our rooms were not tidied up the next morning, and when we complained, nothing was done about it. Their food is unnecessarily overpriced, and they charged us for every cup of tea we took, even when we requested for a pot of tea. We had used there previously on many occasions. They were marvellous in those days. Their standard has dropped significantly, at the expense of the customer. The ranger was great during our game drive, even this time.
I booked for Father's day for game drive for a group of people. Firstly a battle to make a booking as they don't awnser their phones and keep on sending wrong info via email. When we arrive on Father's day, the place was closed without letting us know. I paid in full for the game drive, still battling to sort out a new date or a refund. Very poor service. Ida
This has been one of the best moments in our lives and trip to South Africa. Absolutely amazing beautiful place. Stunning scenery and beauty all around. The game drive was just unreal, getting up so close with all the animals was truly Mesmerising and I actually stroked the Leopard and tigers. Johan was an exceptional guide full of joy and informative stuff that was excellent he’s born for this job. I Would definitely advise anybody to visit this totally wonderful place and experience the Magic of Nature’s greatness .. Thank you for a lifelong Memorable visit..
We attended a workshop her. We initially got lost I think due to the marker being incorrectly placed. This location is quite and serene. The food was great. There was a variety where one could choose from. The deco and ambiance is that African Safari. The staff is friendly and very helpful
Great place to take the kids. Nice petting zoo and some big cats to look at too. Food is affordable and alcohol is served. The service is not the best, don't be in a hurry to eat. Sometimes live bands too.
Outside seating is very relaxed and inside is quite classy. It's really a great place, but if you sit too far from the kitchen when you're outside, your food and hot drinks may arrive cold. A lovely experience none the less.
