We visited for dinner, there's an upstairs seating as well as downstairs, we opted for the upstairs, definitely more viby than downstairs. The deco is cool and fun, they have actual airplane seats! Our waiter was so friendly and attentive.Food: 3/5
Absolutely delicious food! We had the Flying pig burger and the philly steak wrap with milkshakes. The steak was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of sauce. The burger bun was fresh and soft with the most succulent pulled pork. The chips that both meals came with were fresh. The restaurant was neat and tidy too. Highly recommend!
I went to watch the F1 race on Sunday past. It was my first time at Hanger G5. Being a Sunday, the place was not very busy, but that did not mean a great time was not had. The venue is big. Upstairs is the Sports bar area and ground floor is where you can sit back and relax with a great meal. Speaking of which, the food is simply amazing. Mouth-watering! Add to this, the pricing of the food is spot on. Very reasonable with a good portion. The variety of food to select is also amazing, so be sure to view their menu online. I will be back soon for another yummy meal. The service is also great! Definitely worth your while to visit Hanger G5!
Closing hours are 02:00. Spent more than 6k on food and bar, yet the manager has the audacity to tell us at 11pm, that he doesn't appreciate guest "playing" in the dj booth. "Playing in the dj booth" was adjusting the volume as the staff manager in particular wanting to tone it down and go home. Bad move broFood: 5/5
It's a bit off a far drive from the WestRand, but was definitely worth it. Loved the atmosphere and the meals. Prices also aren't that bad. Service was great. Thank you Hangar G5 for an amazing experience at your restaurant Food: 4/5
Good initial attempt at a themed restaurant, but as a first time diner at this eatery I was left a little underwhelmed. An excellent food and drink menu met with mediocre service from the kitchen. The food took longer than expected to arrive and did not present as one may expect from reading the menu. While the food was perfectly fine, there was no wow factor and the portions of what we ordered appeared to be a bit on the small side. The interior of the restaurant feels a little bit dated and the bathrooms were functional but you may want to hold it till you get home. Some sprucing up is perhaps called for. Overall an okay experience but not worth a second visit when there are so many different choices for the family night out.
My biggest complaint is the cleanliness. It felt like a mini horror movies with the 4+ tiny cockroaches running across the table. One made it into my drink. Super grossed out after that. Pizza was good but the experience was completely overshadowed and ruined. This was my second time here and both times were very underwhelming. Giving it 2x stars because my pizza was really good. Nothing else was pleasant about the experience. Won't be back.
What a flight adventure eating at Hangar G5 LOVED the decor, and LOVED the food and drinks even more. Great and friendly service from our waitress. Definitely a Bussiness Class experience.
I loved the vibe, the music and the platter that we shared during our visit. Neat and clean with good service. I will return here. Thanks to DJ Andre. Also well done as an establishment. You rock. Congratulations on the revamp. It rocks.
