There are no bad words to say for the Hertford. My fiance and I came to view the venue for our wedding back in January and fell in love with it the moment we went through the gates. The property is stunning and there are so many beautiful elements. Then we met Ruth - every bride needs someone like Ruth helping her with the wedding. Ruth was so welcoming and showed us around, explaining where we could get married and where would could have the reception with such passion. She never made us feel like there was something we couldn't have or do due to the small size of our wedding, and she answered all my questions with a smile on her face, never making me feel like I was asking a stupid question. From the initial meeting in January when we decided to have our wedding there, to this Friday when we got married, Ruth and the team have been nothing but amazing. I had no bad words for Ruth throughout the process as she came with such a calming nature and accommodate my every need or request. My husband and I both felt like we were so looked after and spoilt on our special day and we cannot thank Ruth and the team enough for everything they did for us and our guests to help make it the most magical wedding. Also a special shout out to the chef and kitchen staff who delivered and brought us the most amazing meal!
Overlooking the forestry scenery,the place is beautiful,u get to escape the city life for a minute. The hotel has now been recently reopened for accommodation, functions ,weddings and prebooked lunches and dinners and there is a swimming pool and a conference room and you can have breakfast lunch or dinner on the patio prebooked weather permitting and fantastic food prepared by some of the original chefs and the waiter service is very good and now managed by the original wedding coordinator and the booking of functions, they are doing an amazing job with so much dedication to build up the Hertford Hotel with also many friendly and hospitality staff. The experience there was memorable
I attended my cousin's wedding that was held last night that is in the 10th of October 2022. The is such a quiet peaceful beautiful place. Service was excellent and made us feel at home and the room are comfortable. The place requires a bit of touch ups and maintainance otherwise a beautiful place. I wish I could could stay a day longer.Rooms: 4/5

This Country Hotel is not just a plan old sleep over Hotel when traveling to and from Lanseria international airport. This Hotel will definitely make u think twice and like everything in South Africa it's all about that experience of feeling at home away from home. And it's definitely a wonderful place for different venues of all sorts big or small they do it all.

I was unable to attend the Christmas Lunch but I was informed by people that attend that the food and service was excellent. I have known the Hertford Hotel for many years as I used to manage the Friendly Grocery at Banbury Cross and the Hertford Junction for the previous owners and the Hertford Hotel complex had a very good reputation as a Hotel and Wedding venue not only in Southern Africa but because of overseas guest attending worldwide. And this review is my personal opinion and not as a retired Hotelier ,Chef and with many years of experience in Southern Africa and overseas.
My brother got married there on December 8th. What a beautiful venue! Very friendly staff! Amazing food! Excellent service ! And good music! We enjoyed every bit of the wedding Thank you the Hertford for an amazing wedding!
We had our wedding in September 2018 in the small chapel and reception hall... it was absolutely incredible! Everything from the time we started organizing with Hertford, to the mouth-watering food, to the staff and all the behind the scenes was just out of this world! We couldn’t have dreamed of a better, more beautiful venue we got the most incredible photos! with amazing and friendly very helpful staff! Thank you Hertford for everything!
