Hills and Dales Accommodation

A hidden Gem indeed.Beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, well equipped kitchenette, good communication from management. We stayed during stage 6 load shedding but we did not feel the impact because the lights, TV and WiFi were available all the time.Dinner was amazing, thank you Dianne, Tim and Douglas.I am definitely coming back.Rooms: 4/5

It's great to get out of Joburg without a long drive. Beautiful views, fab accommodation options, and solar makes loadshedding negligible. My go to place to decompress.Rooms: 5/5

What a gem! The owners and staff are fantastic, and the grounds and rooms are beautiful. Well-appointed with all the necessary items for a perfect stay. Wasn't sure about the location as we were driving in but once on the property it is just ideal. Close to the airport too. Highly recommend a meal prepared by the owner/staff. So nice to have a homecooked meal when on the road. Perfect stay!

The venue is safe and superb. The management and staff friendly, attentive and obliging. The 70 people who attended our afternoon function there raved about the facility and the food provided. Thank you Diane and Tim for making our day such a memorable success. We will be backService: 5/5

Very clean and with everything one needs for perfect overnight accommodation with lovely gardens to enjoy. Ideal for travellers using Lanseria airport which is a ten minute drive away.

Just a stone throw from Jozi. Located in the Cradle of Humankind Tourism zone @hillsanddalesaccommodation boasts beautiful gardens, lovely scenery as well as abounding birdlife, just 40 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. Hills and Dales Accommodation is a relaxed, country, and home style venue. It is self-catering. However, should meals be required, there is a menu in each unit. Meals are fresh and tasty and need to be pre-ordered. Fish Eagle lodge is located in lovely gardens with a peaceful view of the hills. It is a 2 bedroomed unit with an open plan fully stocked kitchen, & lounge with fireplace, flat screen TV and folding glass doors leading onto the big, covered deck could be made more secure for small pups overlooking the view with gas braai and weber facilities, there is secure parking, DSTV, and Wifi with solar back up for Eskom outages. They have mobile spa services available for guests, which have to be contacted directly and booked. Fish Eagle Lodge looks out over the hill and the river and is totally calming and relaxing. There is a stunning lapa and swimming pool which is well looked after and clean and looks like a great place to spend a summer afternoon and evening. We also had a visit by some "friendly" swallows that have built their nest at the unit. Hills and Dales Accommodation is pet friendly, and the hosts Dianne, Tim, and Douglas are hands-on and just a phone call away, to assist or answer any questions.

Affordable and clean rooms, but the location is something else, absolutely unexpected for someone who came to the Lanseria area for the first time. It is basically away from everything, if that's your thing, then it's great. I prefer places with people and restaurants close by. Rooms: Clean with a kitchen having all essentials, clean bedsheets with comfortable bed and tv. Nearby activities: None that I know of Safety: Very safe, electric gate. But the gravel road to the lodge is kinda creepy and there's informal settlements just across the airport which may attract criminals Walkability: Not at all Food & drinks: U have to drive +/- 20km to get to edible stores

Totally exceeded my expectations. The hosts are attentive and incredibly warm. Accommodation clean and well serviced. Thank you specially to Douglas, Tim and his wife. P.S. the food was great, especially the lamb spitbraai. I will be back to visit.Rooms: 5/5
