You have seen it, you have heard it, you have googled it and read it, you have probably tried it, but have you actually believed in it and implemented it?
Most of us spend a large part of our lives making changes, but not realising:
1. Why we are making the change
2. Where we are going with the changes made
3. What our ideal life looks life after the change has been successfully implemented.
We set "goals", UNREALISTIC GOALS sometimes based on what our friends or peers are doing, but with the lack of insight to see that our lives or our environment don't favour these goals. We are influenced easily, persuaded easily, seek instant gratification and have an unrealistic expectation of life due to the ideal world that social media sometimes portrays. All of this makes any form of goal or change very hard to implement and extremely hard to succeed in.
This is why as a dietician I am taking 4 STEPS BACK, and looking at nutrition from a different angle. MEAL PLANS and DIET THERAPY are extremely important, but it is also the practical skills that go hand in hand with understanding and implementing food and nutrition that need to be taught and understood to equip us with the coping skills to be successful in achieving our goals.
