The Rose Café

We stopped here on the way back from the Augrabies Falls. The painted teacup pulled us in and looked really cute. The decor of this place is what males it unique, from the place setters to the teacups, through to the Portchie paintings hanging on the wall. The food was appetising and the flatbread was unique.The coffee was however average. The service gave us an unwelcome feeling as if we really should not have come in at this time. This feeling was exacerbated when the gate was locked behind us and we were locked into the premises. Overall this really distracted from the whole experience.

We stopped in here for a breakfast and had the 3 egg omelette each, absolutely delicious! The tea was served properly in a metal teapot with a china cup so kept its heat....all round perfect breakfast in a ni e environment.

Best coffee, great ice tee and lovely atmosphere.

Had Milkshakes and shared a Belgian waffle. It was delicious. It was a quiet atmosphere where you can quietly recharge before tackling the rest of the day.Food: 4/5

Cute and quirky! Such a lovely surprise walking into this coffee shop. If you're a Portchie fan then this is the place to be, from tea towels to puzzles, it's just Portchie wherever you look. I managed to find some unique gifts for very hard-to-buy for people, not just average souvenirs. The staff were awesome too, so chatty and welcoming.

A "must-stop" in Kakamas. Wonderful ambience, with RSA artist, Portchie's art, sold on the premises. He also decorated the entrance. Had a lovely meal, all served with a smile! Highly recommended.

Stunning carrot cake and apple crumble. Beautifully presented and tasty. Service with a big smile. A real oasis in the hot area.
