The Shamrock Lodge- Polokwane

Very bad. Poor service all round, and the establishment is right next to a busy road. Sleeping at night is almost impossible Rooms: Roo.s are not fully equipped. Not enough towels, cups, and no teaspoon... one power point, and it is hidden behind the bar fridge.

It is small,but with great rooms in town. Safety: There is 24 hours security around the place.

The lodge is beautiful and the rooms are neat. The breakfast food is also good . Two issues that need attention: parking and water. There is not enough parking for guests and there's no water during loadshedding.Rooms: 4/5

I stayed a couple nights in different times and most of the times their rooms are quite good. They do have some inconsistencies here and there especially when it comes to the organizing and furnishing of the rooms. The DSTV channels are just few, I remember 2 only :-

Parking area is not user friendly. Breakfast was very good. There's a serious shortage of running water

The lodge looks great and was very clean however.. I was booked into a lodge without power, had a cold shower. Eventually was directed to the main lodge for breakfast where half of the items were finished and the other half was cold. When I asked if there was hot coffee available, the response was to give me cheap instant instead of brewing more. It seems as though breakfast is served on a first come first served basis and customer satisfaction is not very high on the list of priorities.

Good value for money. Current situation has made breakfast a little challenging there, can understand. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great for a night or two stay.

From the reception you feel welcomed. You feel at home from day one. I had friends from abroad this past weekend they were so overwhelmed by the place. It's 5 star and more over it is classy they move with the times.
