I would like to commend the excellent service I got from the lady at Thrifty on Friday 16 Dec; not forgetting the gentleman who showed me the inns and outs of the car. I am so sorry I cannot remember their names, but they know who they are. I will be back, and thank you for the lovely ride.
Absolute pathetic and unfriendly service. Booked a car online qnd paid deposit. Received voucher in good order just to pickup car and pay in difference. My credit score was too low to receive car. Huge embarresment for me. Could not refund me straight away. Will take 2 days. Will see if it happens. No apologies. Manager just said that s the policy. Take it or leave it. Managed to secure another car without any booKing from Hertz IMMEDIATELY THANK YOU!. NEVER ever use THRIFTY. They are scammers who advertise cheap prices. But so is their service. Disgusting. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Wow! I am not the kind of customer who would write a review but this customer experience has been the best one I've undergone in years. Benni, a kind, driven and super competent gentleman, went out of his way to assist us. He loaded our 6 x 20kg bags for us, he suggested the best vehicles for our needs and sorted all this out in record time. While the pressure was on this happened during school holidays he kept his composure and smile intact. And he isn't even the manager... If I could, I'd rate this branch 7 Keep it up Benni and team!
Handed the rental vehicle back end of October its now 23 November still waiting for my R 4000 deposit refund, if I did not phone today nobody would have attended to my deposit, hopefully I get my deposit back, getting worried now
Mostly chaotic at the front desk and at drop off no driver available after having confirmed this telephonically the day before! Lacks professionalism.
Never use this company for rental, you will regret, you will have to fight for your holding fee. They won't give you your holding fee within 21 days, and you are like to get your holding fee within 3months.you Should ask yourself why the rating is not 4,5 or 5 star...u will regret if you rent a car here.
Because sometimes magic does happen when we least expectant, just ensure that you always take pictures of your pick-up and drop off entries and the petrol amount indicator. Keep petrol receipts also. Try to refuel at the closest garage so that you don't use too much petrol for them to end up having to top up. Otherwise they serve well.
The guy who answered the phone is not very polite. Also not being able to rent a car with a tow bar is absolutely useless. Being told that they cant guarantee a car with a tow bar is an answer from the mid 90's. Get with the times. Implement the proper systems.
Very disappointing interaction with the lady at front desk. Booked to pick up car at 11:45 arrived at desk and there was no one. Called the emergency number on the door but no answer. 10min later a lady appeared and said I should have called out. I asked if they are not expecting anyone as I have been waiting for a while. She said “ma’am do you want to pick a fight or I can help you get your car” To say I was shocked is an understatement.
I booked a car for 6 days. The dates were written on my contract I returned the vehicle a day earlier. My deposit of R4000.00 was returned within 4 days of returning the vehicle but two days later R3000.00 was debited. When I inquired about the reasons for that I was told that i had booked the car for 4 days instead of 6 days. Meaning me returning the vehicle on the 5th day was late some criminal syndicate is operating in this company I would not recommend any use of it.
