This car rental service has highly competitve pricing in comparison to the competition. The vehicles are clean and well serviced and their processed are efficient. Great service and really friendly staff makes this a great place to rent a car from.
Excellent service. My car broke down & I had to hire a car unexpectedly. Thrifty's service was exceptional. Staff were very helpful, the car was new & perfectly clean. The call centre was very efficient. My deposit was refunded promptly - excellent service all round!
Amazing service, the effervescent Zanele and the team always warm greets with a warm smile. Cars are always clean and the handover team are such superstars. Definitely one of the best offices to pick up a car from. Highly recommended
We hired a car for a week, and the holding deposit was R5000. We dealt with Samiqa & Tasmika - who weren’t very helpful. We had a flat tyre, for which they should’ve deducted R1567.25. The balance of the holding deposit was R3432.74, and this was confirmed by Brandon via email, but then they paid the R1567.25 back instead of the R3432.74. And since then we called the call centre and they said someone will call us back, and we haven’t heard from them since 15 Oct. If they keep doing this to all customers they will make some good extra money.
I rented a car on 15Nov2022 and returned it on 17Nov2022. The rental experience was good but has been spoilt by a ridiculously delayed return of my deposit which was repaid on 15December.
One those company's and franchise owners that are happy to screw customers with fine print. Rented a car for 2 weeks and brought it back 2 hours late, so they charged me for another day's rental and outright refused to waiver the fee - the manager laughed it off on a call. Rather stick to Avis - they're professional and actually want repeat business.
Hired vehicle for one day. Picked up vehicle tank wasn't full. 5 minutes after driving out tyres sensor came on. Went to garage topped up pressure. Drove around 20 kilometers and the tyre pressure sensor came on again but on two different tyres so repeated the process. Call Office to let them know about what was happening and was told they would call back, I'm still waiting for the call. When Randburg office to drop off and was told that it just the pressure on the tyres, I explained what happened and what I done. And was told that nothing is wrong. Poor service I will not recommend
It's been 8 days since I returned the car. I have a refund due to me as I paid for more days than what I used the vehicle. I also have the deposit that I paid due for payment. I called them to query and am told the company policy is to hold the deposit for 14 days excluding weekends and public holidays. This policy is blatant exploitation! How can such a policy be allowed to exist? I would give less stars if I could. But this abuse of a normal person is disgusting.
They are dishonest. If you rent a car from them. Say goodbye to your holding deposit. That is how they make money. Corruption at its best. A calls are not returned- not by Tasmika of any of the management. Please STAY AWAY!!!
They take your deposit and never refunds i have still outstading 2 deposits for Feb 2022 for 2 cars. Both cars are retuned no damages and we called several times head office, but till today there's no refund made.
