Thrifty Car Rental South Africa

Service is good but the vehicles are neglected. Small things like worn wiper blades. Brand new vehicle with a lot of scratches on the paint work. On pick up the vehicle was dirty.

I am absolutely disgusting by the service of the place we booked online paid and went to pick up the car In Centurion just to be told I have been approved because of my credit score is low but refuse to pay me my money Back sometime. The stuff is absolutely rude I then left and went to Avis and got a car In 20 minutes with out no hassle. I am absolutely amazed by the good service from Avis Centurion.. keep up the good .

Pricy but worth it....on that note no one was cheaper. But I have to say, the Consultants are helpful and really friendly...and you can tell that they care about their clients...Thanks guys

I rented this car from Thrifty Bloemfontein, with the dents and scratches as per attached pictures. Unfortunately someone must have leaned on the rear door panel. I woke up this morning with an insane invoice from Thrifty. You'd swear they are trying to get me to rebuild the whole car as far as I'm concerned. That body panel will not even require paint nor even complicated tools. Literally with heated air, you can get that bent body panel back in shape. I'm so disappointed, I had so much respect due to excellent service I received in Bloemfontein. Now I don't know, what to believe anymore. From this experience Thrifty doesn't deserve my one star.

I returned my vehicle on the 26th September..no issues. After multiple calls and emails and no help from them on when I will get my deposit back. It's going on for almost 2 months now and still I am waiting. Will definitely NOT recommended Thrifty

I only use Thrifty Centurion for my car rentals now bcos I have received the best service from them. Thato in particular is absolutely amazing. He connects so well with his customers, he doesn’t forget any detail that he may have gathered about me along the journey of being a customer… they always have a car for me, I have never had to struggle. Thato will remember if there is car I didn’t enjoy driving and ensures you provide something that I would like. I have never had an issue with getting the deposit back… I dropped the car off yesterday and today the hold has been lifted. I am so happy - thank you for once again an amazing experience.

Pro's: Competitive prices. Con's: Good luck getting your Credit Card holding deposit released after returning the car with no issues. You will waste hours on the phone being transferred to different departments and send multiple emails that never get responded to.
