I qualified at Camelot International as a Somatologist and I have always dreamed of opening my own salon. I opened Tranquil Touch on the 10 February 2010 and it has gone from strength to strength as my clients are my top priority.
My qualifications are, Camelot International, SAAHSP, CIDESCO and ITEC. I have a passion for my work and this shows in every treatment I offer. My clients are always very impressed with the professionalism and tranquillity of my salon.
I studied at Camelot International. Camelot international is known as the best place to study health and skin care therapy. It has seven accredited training schools nationwide and it is registered as a private higher education institution with the department of education and offers South African qualifications as well as international qualifications. The key to Camelot’s success is their dynamic approach to practical and theoretical education, helping students to achieve their full potential.
While at Camelot I had the opportunity to get a Camelot Health and Skin Care Diploma, a SAAHSP Diploma ( South African Association of Health and Skin Care Professionals ), a CIDESCO International Diploma (International Committee for Aesthetics and Cosmetology), and ITEC International Diploma. Certificates in Reflexology 1 and Aromatherapy 1, First Aid Level 1, Thalgo Skin and Body product training, Gatineau and Academie product training as well as Caribbean Tan.
Once my salon was opened I did a full course in RegimA and professional make-up.
SAAHSP is an international authority which is committed in protecting as well as elevating the professional beauty industry around the world. “This non-profit organisation works to maintain the highest levels of care, service and professionalism within in the industry.”
“CIDESCO offers the most comprehensive and truly international Beauty and Spa therapy qualifications in the world, which include all aspects of beauty and body treatment. The depth and knowledge you gain is second to none.” With my CIDESCO qualification I have a highly recognised diploma and I am fully entitled to work in over 33 countries worldwide.
The ITEC Diploma for Beauty Specialists Level 2 and 3 provides me with a thorough understanding of skills in facial treatment with the use of electrical machines. It also provides me with a thorough understanding and skills in manicures and pedicures, make-up, waxing and holistic massage, as well as Professional Conduct and Beauty Awareness and Anatomy and Physiology. This qualification is for a beauty specialist requiring a high level qualification in beauty.
In my salon I use two facial products which are both non-chemical products. RegimA which is a plant based product and Thalgo which is a marine based product.
“RegimA is the most advanced medically accepted, skin care programme created to attack the ageing free radicals and toxins associated with modern living.” These elements are what causes visible signs of ageing, including loss of skin tone and wrinkles. RegimA is “POTENCY, PERFECTION, SIMPLICITY, COST EFFICIENCY, and SAFTEY working synergistically with the aim of skin treatment, restoration, rejuvenation and anti-ageing. RegimA is a cosmacutical focusing not only on AESTHETICS but SKIN HEALTH.” RegimA is manufactured for the use of plastic surgeons, anti-ageing doctors, laser clinics and skin care professionals. RegimA is an excellent product for scarring treatments.
Thalgo is a Marine Algae and Plant based cosmetic. It offers amazing results in purifying, hydrating, firming and revitalizing. Thalgo’s objective is to bring pleasure and beauty in accordance with the principles of protecting and precaution necessary to the future.
