I wish I would have made the decision to work with TravelBud to go overseas and teach in Thailand earlier! I am currently about half way through my year contract at my school and I the happiest I have been in a while! Working with TravelBud and especially my agent, Lucy, was so easy and they really helped ease my nerves through out the transition moving abroad! I would highly recommend working with TravelBud if you are interested in teaching overseas!

I am currently living and teaching in Thailand after completing my TravelBud TESOL course and placement, and I am having an absolutely amazing time. The cultural orientation and course fully prepared me for life in Thailand, and I felt very ready to being life as a teacher here. I was able to gain experience in the classroom through my TESOL, which made me feel more prepared for teaching than those I have met that went with online certifications. I also made amazing, life long friendships through TravelBud that I have maintained throughout my time here. We have been able to travel together, both during and after the course, and have experienced many of the amazing things that Thailand has to offer. Teaching in Thailand is an amazing, life changing experience and working with TravelBud makes the process very easy and even more rewarding.

TravelBud has made my move to Thailand so stress-free! Their in-class TESOL program was exactly what I needed to be confident going into a Thai classroom. I really appreciate the way they walked me through all of the administrative steps involved with getting to here, so I could focus on the fun part! Thanks, team!

Toward the end of my studies at university, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I decided to look into teaching abroad as I was ready for an adventure and having never travelled overseas, I wanted to broaden my horizons. TravelBud helped me do exactly that. Peter Pittendrigh helped me through the entire process and the TravelBud team as a whole supported me before, during and after my experience in South Korea. Since I was a wide-eyed third year varsity student in 2015, I've since seen the world and achieved things I previously thought impossible, and I have TravelBud to thank for that. It's so daunting taking the leap to go teach overseas, but you are in the best hands possible with the TravelBud team. Thank you all!

I always loved the idea of packing up my life in Cape Town and traveling the world. I had a vision of an independent traveller in my head that could just arrive at a new place, instantly have a place to live and attract different groups of friends from all over the world. But I am not that person. People scare me and I always leave my socks on the floor; so I'm sure no one in a hostel would want to be friends with me. I've barely just wrapped my head around my cellphone contract back home, how could I ever figure that out in Thai.  Luckily, I found a program that took care of all these things that scared me. Travelbud offered me the training wheels I needed to embark on the biggest adventure of my life. Every single aspect that seems daunting is explained in the most basic steps to take all the fear and uncertainty out, from applying for your visa and getting your insurance to packing your bags and knowing how many pairs of jeans are too many. And for any questions that aren't explained, there is a team of incredibly friendly staff just an email away that are always happy and ready to answer.  The value of doing the TESOL course in-class and having the cultural orientation in Hua Hin can not be quantified. Those four weeks are everything you need to acclimatize yourself to a new culture, a new language, new food and a new transport system. It also gives you the most important thing you could need in a foreign country, a support system. More than just a roommate who's socks joined mine on the floor, I was given a whole family of like-minded travelers who are now my closest support system here in Thailand.  Travelbud provided the training wheels I needed to take the leap and come to Thailand and they have supported me every step of the way, I could not recommend them more.
