Now in its 18th year, long-serving nightclub Truth is widely regarded as an institution. A proud purveyor of dance music in all its forms, and working with a long list of local and international talents, the club has been instrumental in cultivating the country's flourishing electronic music scene.
South Africa's acid house scene took root in the late 80's and by 1999 dance music had blossomed into a vibrant local scene. It was at this time that Truth opened its doors. Pretoria’s old snake park— a vast venue with both outdoor and indoor spaces provided the perfect framework for a multi-floor nightclub. The space was transformed into the nocturnal playground of electronic music it's known and loved as today.
Forever at the forefront of the music industry, Truth has hosted some of the world’s most important artists including Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Black Coffee, Lee Burridge, Paul Van Dyk, Stephan Bodzin, Stimming, Marc Romboy, Dixon, Edu Imbernon, Sister Bliss, Pleasurekraft, Cosmic Gate, Justin Martin, Culoe de Song, Sasha & many more on a long list of acts who have thrilled Truth’s devoted clubbing contingent over the years.
