Its on and off really just don’t place it on your bucket list as you may be disappointed… Works for a once in a while ‘not ott’ chill spot, On busier days expect to wait 15 minutes before you’re served
The service was good and the waitress was nice. The cocktails were great!
Easy place to have breakfast. Meetings in the morning here are convenient. Service was friendly & they swapped the bacon for avocado without any extra charges.
Horrible experience... Was in between meetings so I decided to grab a quick lunch there...Big mistake! 1. Waiter took my Heineken draught order, only for her to come back 5 min later to tell me that they don't sell Heineken draught. 2. Took my Stella draught order only to come back 5 min later saying that they need a few minutes to change the keg. I'm 15 minutes in and I don't have a drink, haven't placed my food order and my meeting is about to start in 30 minutes... Whiles all of this is happening, a few customers kept walking inside looking for their waiters. What a mess.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Food was great value. Good place for breakfast.Food: 5/5
A great establishment with a live Dj. The price of drinks was abit higher then what I am used to from my favorite drink . Which they didn't have Aperol spritzer. The service was good and found a new drink for the night.
Words can’t express my anger, disappointment and frustration. I was here last night, very hungry and decided to stretch a little further into my pocket with the hope of having a good meal. The meal was nowhere near decent. I ordered a rib on the bone, it’s was VERY dry. I ordered a medium, this was simply overcooked no juices by any chance and probably just tough meat??? Do not get me started on the temperature, it was seconds away from cold. Salad didn’t look fresh either. The lettuce had those brown bits all over. When I left, I passed through MacDonalds to get myself a meal. Pure robbery, simply turn the place into a bar because yikes. My money gone down the drain. What a shame.
Edward the manager and our waiter Mike were pleasantly helpful. I had a hiccup that was dealt with swiftly by both parties and would really recommend this establishment to any one in the vicinity where complaints are dealt with and not brushed aside as bothersome. Ambience is everything
It was such a lovely experience, visiting News Cafe Midrand. It was as if I stepped back in time.... right back to the 80s. The music was lovely, the tables spaced out - allowing for privacy during business discussions, service not intrusive and the quality of the food was good. Definitely worth another visit.
We reserved a table for a colleague's farewell. We ordered platters that were amazing and the service was good.
