We popped in for lunch at Casa Mia, located at the lodge. Ordered some retro starters like snails with melted garlic cheese and mussels in a creamy garlic sauce. Both very good. Classic steak, egg and chips was great. Pizza was very good and they are accommodated my request for extra olives on my pizza. Finished the meal with chocolate ravioli and ice cream with chocolate sauce. Portions are a good size and prices very reasonable. The restaurant has a view of the river. Will be back when down at the South Coast again.
We just travelled from Port Elizabeth to the South Coast after a long journey we arrive after booking online. When we go into the room it is not at all how they advertise. The "kitchenette' is a tiny table with no sink. When I booked, it tagged that it would be seaview and river view but from inside the room you cannot see anything. My daughter has a 1 year old who needs his own place to sleep. So on the website it says rooms 2 hence why we booked it so my daughter and her son could have their own space. The double bed was in the same room as the bunk bed?? Why would parents go on a holiday if they have to share a room with their children?? Any ways long story short they refused to refund us even though we didn't stay a single night. The reception was very kind and tried to help us find something to suit our needs but we are very unhappy with the rest of the service. Do not recommend.
Absolutely loved this place Owner was helpful with information on the units available The staff was also lovely Unit was clean and loved that it’s a walking distance to the beach Close to amenities as well which is quite convenient I’ll Definitely be back
Very disappointed no ac/heater. The shower can not be adjusted to the right temperature. Only sabc1, 2,3 no dstv. There is wifi but no internet. I've stayed at cheaper establishments with all the creature comforts
You can't pay to go out an enjoy yrself an somebody can tell you keep it low you making so much noise hell no this is lounge not Hotel if someone want quietness they must book hotels
The rooms were small and the kitchen was nonexistent but its a beautiful location. Walkability: Close to the beach
Very confusing situation. They had plenty rooms. All of a sudden apon arrival, they were fully booked. If you are a person of color, don't bother.
Love the place. The staff is friendly and what I like they clean your unit everyday whilst you are still out. If the place could at least have a WiFi it would be complete.
The constant nagging of the cleaning the place is forever dusty and if you tell the receptionist and literally show her the dust that's almost falling from the fan blades she will say sorry the cleaners are under strain...and the noise they make early in the morning its ridiculous.. luv this place but next time I won't use it.
