Very beautiful friendly staff, however the place needs elevators or lift if you forgot something in the car and you stay on the last floor. You are in for a bit of gym. Bit disappointed I was hoping to get sea viewing rooms. Overall nice place, delicious breakfastRooms: 4/5
Writing a review not only because of the competition I wish to enter but also to be honest about my experience. I visited a few years ago on a work conference. I loved everything about Umthunzini Hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were accomodation and friendly. The sitting area outside was a breath of fresh air and a lovely walk to the beach I always recommend friends and family to Umthunzini Hotel as it is safe and clean. Iv never taken my family to Umthunzini Hotel yet but I would love to soon, God willing. Rooms: Spacious and clean Safety: Very safe Walkability: Walking distance to the beach

The Umtheunzi Hotel is one of the best hotels I've been to. Staff is very friendly, and food is amazing no matter what time of the day. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the beds are flipping amazing after an amazing night at the bar. From a person who lives in Pietermaritzburg, I would definitely go there again.Rooms: 5/5
Another amazing stay at Umthunzi Hotel! Four memorable days. Thank you for accommodating us at short notice and a special thanks to Novuyo for my room upgrade. The food wasn't that great on the first night, but after raising my concerns, Esmè attended to it and the Head Chef made sure it was exquisite. House keeping and room service were excellent. Thank you all for hosting us. Looking forward to my next visit. Rooms: Rooms are clean and spacious. Safety: It's very quiet and feels safe.
