FARMING WITH ROSS BROILERS AND SUPPLY FRESH MEAT
Hi, I am Leatitia du Plessis 51-year-old women founder of Ultimate Chickens Emalathleni Mpumalanga with a good background in Education and Collages.
I was at Sanlam for a few years, also as an H R, during June 2013 I became very sick with a virus in my brain, spending a very long time in ICU, and 8 weeks in the recovery ward I went home with the hard broken news. I will never be able to work again, and declared disabled for work.
In September 2013, I have lost my mum and January 2014 my husband.
It was a disaster it Feld as if my whole world was falling apart, I had to do something.
This is when I decided to rent premises to begin with chicken farming that is how Ultimate Chickens Witbank was born “established” in August 2015.
I have started with a very little amount of money, and did everything myself feeding, watering, medication and cage cleaning. It was very hard some days but yes, I did make it until where we are now.
I know chicken farming “Broilers” is a challenge but it is also successful. You must discipline yourself moneywise and proper care taking of your chickens, as red lights, head control, watering, medication and a proper feeding program. Most important thing hygienic care and temperature control.
I grew app little 1 day old chicks up to 2 weeks old to a wait off +- between 750 g to 1 kg, believe it or not I’ve got statistics and can be proven practical, on the age of 5 weeks the wait is 2.2kg- 2.4 kg.
Ultimate Chickens took two people in as my right hand in the chicken farming 24 November 2015, for sure they know what they doing its Point and Maria. Ultimate Chickens is growing very fast and we would love to grow bigger, our goal is to achieve 5000 chickens per week. Amounts to 30 000 chickens per 6 weeks cycle.
This can also be good for job creation for many people
