Umbilo - Kenneth Gardens

I've had my ups and downs in this place.Seen many changes over the years,definitely became very slack at maintaining Kenneth gardens.When Simon was here in the old S.A this place was properly maintained.before 1994.After that place started running down.85%of tenants are not paying rent.

The park is a huge, wide open space with lots of big trees, benchseats and tons of space for kids to run around. A small portion of the park is dedicated to a playground that includes 4 swings, 3 see-saws, a slide and a merry-go-round. There is even a portion of the park that has some public outdoor gym equipment. The only problem is that the park is usually full of litter and the grass is long, so it is not being very well maintained. I have been there a number of times over the past 6 months and it is always the same. Litter and long grass. They just need to get someone to clean and cut the grass every week then this park will surely be a community favourite!

It now even has an outdoor gym for everybody to enjoy. Whoever installed it needs to maintain it as some of the machines are failing so early in its life. Good place to visit when loadshedding hits the neighborhood.

Great place to work out and excercise, and play basketball. The only thing is teh bathrooms need attention

so sad not well maintained glass bottles all over people doing whatever they want in the grounds.

Place is very big and its easy to get lost in it without the proper directions. No security and a open fence concept. Overall experience was ok if not less than ok

It's a public park and has an exercise area.

Drove past it...typical ethekweni parks department untidy and unkempt...grass very long.
