Description

Situated only 10 minutes from the centre of town, the park is set in 3 hectares of lush landscaping at the base of soaring cliffs with waterfalls, ponds, open paddocks and walk-through aviaries.

They have a wide variety of birds to see and interact with. It’s a lovely educational outing bursting with nature’s beautiful background. Lovely variety of birds. We went for the flight show and there was the opportunity to interact with the wildlife. The presenter was very knowledgeable about the birds and the show was really good.

We visited during the week out of season. There are beautiful birds, friendly handlers and a lot to see! The staff members are very friendly and there are some bird enclosures you can walk through. Come on guys, so much potential, this place used to be much better looked after, its sad to see a few enclosures abandoned.  Management needs fresh ideas to bring in more feet because the environment is beautiful but the atmosphere is sadly dying :

A little known gem for kids. The park is always neat and clean. Hands down one of the coolest places to spend a morning/afternoon/day in Durban! The selection of birds is really good, and the staff at the park area fantastic! Make sure you catch the free flight bird show if you go.

Fantastic collection of birds from all over the world! We arrived just as it opened on  a July Friday morning, and we had the place to ourselves for the first half hour. We spent a good two hours here and might have stayed longer if we hadn’t had a plane to catch.

Lovely facility to spend the morning with family and especially kids. The bird show was also quite entertaining
