Established in 2001, Valued Citizens Initiative is a South African Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that aims to inspire learners, educators, school management teams, parents and social workers to believe in themselves in order to add value as citizens.
Valued Citizens Initiative operates programmes in the Free State, Limpopo, Gauteng, North West, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal provinces that promote citizenship education, leadership skills and self-development.
These programmes are co-ordinated by a passionate team who develop young leaders through the My Career, My Choice, iNSPIRE, iVALUE and Bridging for Life programmes; motivate educators, School Management Teams and Social Workers to lead with ethics and parents to strenghten family through the extensive Values in the Lead Programme and rehabilitate young offenders back into their schools, communities and homes through the iCHOOSE intervention programme.
Our Mission is to promote a healthy civil society and engage learners, educators, principals, social workers and parents in a self-journey to explore our constitutional values, leadership principles and ethics.
