Did an Uber Eats order with a variety of cupcakes. Only thing put in the order was 4 scoops of an overly sweet, icy "5 scoop" ice cream for R180.
The best chocolate ferrero rocher ice cream I have ever tasted. The service lacked and they were eating and touching our food while helping us, but I will be back for the ferrero rocher ice cream. It is to die for!
Good communication, better cupcakes and the best service in South Africa! I wanted to surprise my mom with a birthday treat as I'm in Vietnam and my sister is in Australia, we were sad to think of our mom alone at home, especially during covid. The Cupcake Botique’s service, attention to detail, product offerings and delivery is out of this world! Communication was effortless and they sent me pictures of everything and even Went above and beyond to decorate the cupcakes especially for our mom. My mom was so excited and surprised when she received her delivery and she said they tasted as wonderful as they looked! THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping us make our Mom’s special day something to smile about despite being so far away! I will definitely recommend your services and continue to use them in future! Every time I'm back in South Africa i try your cupcakes and my next visit home wont be any different! Thank you so so much!

Most amazing cupcake boutique, definitely the best in Johannesburg. I bought a cake here for my girlfriends 21st and it was absolutely delicious. Customer service is impeccable. I visited the store on a public holiday and all the staff were upbeat and making delicious cakes and cupcakes. I would recommend it to anyone looking for personalised cupcakes or a really delicious cake for any special occasion. Support this business and I promise you will not be disappointed.
Absolutely disappointing. Ordered 4 cupcakes for R250 from Mr Delivery. The cupcakes were basic sponge topped with fake/can cream...no icing on any of them and I ordered different types. If I wanted canned cream I would buy canned cream from spar and poured it in my mouth. When you think boutique, you think fancy?! Massive waste of money! Soooo wanted a nice cupcake with icing to solve my pregnancy craving. UPDATE: The response from the owner is highly unprofessional. If canned cream on a piece of sponge is their 10 year standard, then maybe I am not their type of customer, I think a proper cupcake should be lovely butter cream icing. Which I will in future go to Carmellas Cedar for. We ate one and tossed the rest, Im not fishing these out of the bin.
Cupcake Boutique you are the best!!! Thank you so much for my daughter`s birthday Cake Pops. The happiness on her face was out of this world and her day was super special as she was Unicorn/Rainbow Queen at school. Thank you again for making the Cake Pops exactly as the sent picture when we placed an order.
If you are looking for delicious gluten-free cupcakes, do not order from this place. It was extremely dry and a lack of taste. Felt like it was stale! We bought R700 worth of cupcakes for a birthday and it was the worst mistake. We took them back and asked them for 'fresh' ones when the guy said to us "that's how gluten-free cupcakes taste"!! I mean seriously.... when a customer spends any amount of money and supports your business, you come to the party and apologize for the bad food, and replace it at your own cost. We are extremely disappointed with the service and will not recommend anyone to order the gluten-free cupcakes!! FYI, gluten-free food can taste amazing!!  Also, your employee alluded that it might be the recipe, but it is too much of a mission to change the recipe!!
Cupcakes are good but service is honestly terrible. Bought cupcakes a few times and have NEVER had a good experience.
Ordered 3 cinnamon doughnuts, 3 glazed doughnuts and two slices of cake on Mr.D. The lemon cheesecake slice was frozen, had to thaw it before it could be eaten. The red velvet cake did not taste like red velvet - tastes like a normal vanilla cake with red coloring. Both slices were really small considering the price and compared to what you get at other places of similar quality. The cinnamon doughnuts were only sugared on one side maybe I am just accustomed to full sugaring and the actual doughnut tasted stale, could only manage a couple of bites. This was obviously not the experience we were expecting from a boutique bakery charging boutique prices. Maybe the product just doesn't deliver well? Anyway, thought I would share to manage expectations.
